      Hello everyone,

      I would like to overclock my FX-8320… Does anyone in the forum have this micro who can tell me what voltage and frequency you have it set to so I can get an idea of how far I can push it...

      Here is my system:

      Aerocool STRIKE-X Advance White case (two front fans, one top fan, and two rear fans)
      Corsair 650W power supply
      Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120x120mm 1850rpm --> I expect another fan for the H70 by Saturday...
      Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
      AMD FX Series FX-8320 3.5Ghz 8X
      Crucial M500 120GB SSD SATA3
      500Gb hard drive
      Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H70 CORE
      G.Skill Sniper DDR3 1866 PC3-14900 8GB 2x4GB CL9
      Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 XT With Boost 2GB GDDR5
      Creative Sound Blaster Z

      All voltage settings are on auto and the values I get from CPUtemp are:

      1.406,41Mhz --> 0,875V (8 cores)
      3.716,95Mhz --> 1.375V (8 cores)
      4.018,33Mhz --> 1.425V (1 core I would say is turbo mode)

      Temperatures are at the limit, I hope that adding another Scythe Gentle Typhoon will help lower the maximum temperature. When I play, it goes up to 62 at max, but it doesn't stay at that value...

        In this review, they explain how to overclock an FX-8350 and it serves as a guide for yours.

        Salu2!

          oks merci…

          But what I'm interested in knowing is, for example, if I leave it at 17.50200 = 3.500Mhz what Vcore it has... i if I leave it at 2020=4.000Mhz what Vcore it has... not directly raising it to 4.7Mhz with 1.475 Vcore...

          The values I want to know is indicative mode to know where the Vcore of this micro moves at each frequency... i also understand that all 8 cores go to the same frequency, right?

          regards.

            Here you have more info about voltages of the fx8320
            http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-FX-Series%20FX-8320.html

            You can see results of others by searching in google "overclocking fx 8320" but you will have to fine-tune your own, test stability and temperature, and generally be very clear about what you are doing.

            Salu2.

              hello again,

              I have touched the energy saving parameters and other… and I have touched the multiplier to put the micro to 3,500Mhz and it has lowered the Vcore to 1,30V... what I want now is to touch the Vcore manually in the BIOS there is the parameter CPU VCORE: AUTO --> what can I put in normal and put an increase of +/- volt....

              How does this parameter work? what Vcore value does it use to do the +/- Volt....

              regards.

                Let's see, how much it can go up and with what voltages, what you asked at the beginning I already told you that it's visible to everyone by using a little bit of google (it took me less than 5 min to see many overclocks). The last thing you asked is very basic, you are here to read more, a little more, I'll give you an example: How are you going to know later what voltage is really being supplied to the micro? Where are you going to look? The vcore +/- thing is very simple, the normal voltage is added or subtracted by the + or - value you choose from a list that would come up, and that would be the result. That's how the specific voltage you want is defined manually and will be fixed, but it's a very elementary question, you are here to read a little more and have it a little clearer. And you also have to be clear about what it means to test stability with one voltage or another, as well as the temperature issue, it's 100% essential.
