PC change from Q9650 to...

Buy an i5. Cheap, good and efficient:

What about the rest of the equipment? If you have a decent heatsink, that board (and any ASRock) has 775 mounting points too. If you don't have a decent heatsink, for less than 20€ you have 9cm ones, enough for that micro. For 10 more euros you have a 12cm heatsink if you have 16cm in the case, you would gain in silence.
-
Well, about the heatsink, I thought about putting a liquid cooling one that I have never tried before, I was thinking about the Corsair Hydro H60 in case I can not take advantage of any anchorage of my current V8 on the new motherboard I buy... or AM3 or 1155... I imagine that I will not be able to anchor it but if I can, I will keep the V8
I have the rest:
-8gb sniper (or something like that)
-PSU thermaltake Thougpower 750 modular (I will not change this one for one that consumes less or that makes less noise, I do not know if with the 4 years it has it will be worn out already, but well, if the modern ones are the same I will not change it)
-Hard drive 500gb (Seagate Barracuda I think it is or Western Digital, I think I will put an SSD and leave this one too, I never need more than 200gb)
By the way, I see the Xtreme Media page cheaper than Pccomponentes which is where I buy.... -
Of course the V8 is worth it, if you have it on a 775 and I'm telling you that it also has mounting points for 775 xD. The V8 is more beastly in size than in performance but having it, take advantage of it, it would even be enough to overclock a 3570K which would be 30 euros more in micro and at least 20 in motherboard. It pays off but you commented that you wanted low consumption... The power supply is not the bomb, nor is it that you are going to build a cucumber that deserves a good power supply but well, you can win in silence, although you could also change the fan if you are a bit handy. With a Seasonic S12II of 520W you are fine for a graphics card, it costs about 60€. If you want something that can hold a CrossfireX/SLI* mid-range (for example 2 760, about 500W) you have the same model of 620W for less than 75€. *You would need to leave some extra cash for the motherboard and it would be especially interesting the 3570K to get the most out of a multiGPU platform. -
So the 775 sockets are the same as the 1155 ones…..I save 60 euros

I use OC a bit too much, I've only done it a few times on my ATI 5850 with the same catalyst program but very little.
-Is there any processor with a performance similar to the 3570k that consumes less?
-I've seen the Nox Urano VX 650W in the guide for complete computers on this forum, I like that one...is it quiet?
-Regarding the motherboard, I like the Asrock Z77 Pro4 and the Asrock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional (more for the gamer aesthetic in red and black, which makes me want to build a computer with a window) I suppose I'll have some left over with the first one.
Regards

By the way...is it worth it to go for the 1150 instead of the 1155??
-
Read carefully that it takes away one's desire to help, as I already told you, the ASRock 1155 have 775 mounting holes (they come with extra holes), this does not mean that the 1155 mounting is the same as 775.
1150 does not consume less, they yield a little and cost a little more, the integrated one is better but that doesn't matter to you.
The B75 Pro3 and the Z77 Pro4 are very similar...
The NOX Urano are modest power supplies, for a little more you get a Seasonic that is not comparable.
Don't worry about consumption, get a 3570 if you want and increase the 4 points that the turbo allows you, you won't notice it on the bill, with the Z77 Pro3 you have more than enough, if you want the Pro4 it's only 10 euros more.

- 1 in everything.

Ammmmmm well
it's just that I had no idea that the boards could come with extra mounts….perfect and understood
I think I'm going to decide on the 1155 that has been around longer and is what everyone recommends.
By the way, I already bought the power supply, in the end a Corsair of 760w that I read about and they spoke very well of them and were more efficient in consumption.... I hope it's true

The AX are great sources, that beast is for mounting 2 graphics and powering a top-of-the-range computer.

If you can afford a better i5, otherwise go for AMD.
With either one you'll notice the difference.
In this forum in full configurations you'll find a very complete guide.
RegardsPulling from HTC
I wouldn't trade a Q9650 for an FX 8320 for gaming, maybe for other tasks if it's noticeable but for gaming I think little, if you want something that will last you have to go for an i5, if it's a 3570K or 4670k better, those for the PCIe3, a 2500K can be oced more and can keep up with any graphics, but I think it will be limited sooner than an ivy or a haswell in the future.
Maybe AMD will start to do better with games for the new consoles, but if they already lose with current high-end graphics, it will be worse later on as graphics will be more powerful and it will limit more.

So in the end I listened to my friend Obione and I ordered the 300R and I already have it at home. Very good case and well finished but a bit big for what I'm used to. I skipped the crossfire….decided
Several people have told me that it's a stove and that in many games it's more of a headache than a brutal improvement. I was almost decided on the AMD configuration, I really want an AMD now but Fjavi tells me that I won't notice a difference with my Q9650....
I was thinking about an fx-6300 or an fx-8320 and an Asrock 990fx extreme3 motherboard but of course, it took me about a week to decide jajajaj
The other option is i5-3570 and Asrock Z77 Pro4Where can I see a benchmark (or whatever it's called) of some games with the Q9650, the fx-8320 and the i5-3570?? it's to get an idea
-
The 3570 with the Z77 Pro4 is a good option, the Pro3 is also enough. If you get the K for a little more, don't buy the 3570 plain that has the multiplier locked although you could scratch it a little with a Z77. In any case, if you don't want OC or are looking for something very light, you can go for the 3570.
If you want comparisons, look at the Anandtech bench database which is very good:
AnandTech | Bench - CPU (Where it says SYSmark change to Games 2010/2011)
Editing: Well, they have more forgotten micros, for graphics it's very good. Google "CPU scaling games" or something like that.

Editing: If you have the 300R take advantage of the fact that it fits the Silver Arrow and get the K ;D
If you want a decent motherboard and don't care about SLI, get a Gigabyte Z77 for a little over 100€.
Heyyyy, good page for comparing CPUs
Many thanks. I guess I'll get the 3570k which is 9 euros more and just for the fact that I'll sell it better in the future it's worth it.
I've always liked Asrock and Asus so it has to be one of those twoThanks for the help and I'll check the processor comparisons on that page
