      Hello everyone!!

Due to the fact that I have to open an RMA for my Asus Formula X79 motherboard.
Due to the fact that I have a faulty Ram slot.
I am thinking about changing the motherboard model.
There are no good impressions of Evga's X79 motherboards based on what you have said.
The Evga Dark x79 is not yet on sale.

Which one do you recommend from these motherboards?

      Asrock Fatal1ty X79 Champion
MSI Big Bang XPower II X79
      Asus Rampage Iv Extreme
      Asus P9X79-PRO

Should I wait for the new Evga to go on sale? Which motherboard do you recommend for my company's PC?

      Regards

PD: I have just managed to get a replacement for the same motherboard from Amazon due to the fact that the refund option takes more than 15 days and I want to exchange it for another.
A 10 for attention and solutions from Amazon. On Monday I will receive a new one. This weekend I will have to disassemble the R.L. and reassemble it. I hope I don't mess it up!!

The Dark, if it's already on sale, and in the EVGA forums they're talking very well about it.

Of the ones you mentioned, I've tried the Rampage and the MSI, and for my taste I prefer the Big, it asks for less voltage in OC, and with PLX chip. In some tests I did back in the day, it gave a little more performance in 3Dmark with the same configuration in both.

That's not saying much, but there it is.

        In fact, that's the one I'm using now…... ;).

        Regards...

P.D. Oh I see you finally got the same one.......The cows that distract me.......xD.

          Good evening!
Finally I make the change for the same card because I don't want to complicate myself and wait and put more money.
I hope the new one works correctly. If it fails again I will ask for a refund and buy the Evga or Msi. They would be the candidates. Asus I hope it doesn't fail again.
The deal on the part of Amazon is a 10. Future hardware purchases will be through this provider.
          Regards

If that one has problems, the x89s are about to come out, at least you get native usb3, it will be a more refined chipset than the x79, we'll see if it's worth it, the ivy-E will work for the x79, but the same thing happens as with z68 and P77, the last one was better for OC, the x89 should be an evolution of the x79, it's likely that it already has fewer problems.

            regards

              Thanks for the information Fjavi!
That's exactly what I'm thinking, if in 2 years I have any failure this board I will change the model for an X89, being superior to the current X79.
              Waiting for new reviews
              Regards

Well something strange is happening, the Ivy-E's have come out and the X89 hasn't been seen, it seems like the board manufacturers either haven't received that NB or maybe they have too many X79's and don't want to release another chipset.

The board manufacturers are not happy with the socket 2011 and even less with X79, they've had a lot of problems and many RMA's, maybe Intel is thinking about releasing an X99 that already supports Haswell-E and is compatible with SB-E and IB-E.

But if an X89 comes out, it seems that the board manufacturers are in no hurry to release it and are thinking about selling more X79's with the Ivy-E's.

                regards

From the info I looked at, the X99 won't be compatible with Haswell-E, it will also be socket 2011, but with a different structure, so it won't be backward compatible.

Well, if they don't release an X89, the socket 2011 seems like the biggest joke on Intel's part, now they're releasing CPUs that won't be fully utilized if they don't also release motherboards and a new chipset.

I think it's a mess on Intel's part, it's very bad that there isn't serious competition because they're doing whatever they want.

This move by Intel suggests that they will soon release Haswell-E and will leave the X79 behind

right now I see a 4670k as a better option, 4770K with z87 is the most advanced from Intel.

                    Regards
