I have an i7 2660k with a z44 pro motherboard, two 4gb ram slots at 1333mhz each if I'm not mistaken, along with an ati hd 5830 graphics card. For all this, I've seen that in the drivers there's an option for pc overclok, xfast or something like that. Well, in the case, in the front, I have a fan that goes in, then on the side one that goes out and behind the case another that goes in, 12 cm each. I want to overclok mostly for games, it was in case you could give me some stable values to overclok it but safely without pushing it too hard to go little by little, I've been reading a lot but it's a bit complicated to understand many of the values that come up here hehe, thank you very much

The motherboard is a z44 pro if I remember the name correctly.
I have already overclocked the graphics card using its own application that comes with it to increase its performance... up to the maximum approved by the system. And the truth is that it is noticeable.
Now, I want to give the cpu a little more power, what do you recommend? Just to be safe to try it out, I don't want it to explode jajajajaja.

The brand is asus, to increase voltage and multiplier I can do it directly with the application that comes with the same motherboard, right? It already comes with a tab for overclok and another to see the temperatures with that you could do everything?
One more doubt, what can increasing the voltage lead to? I say it in case it can burn the board or something… to increase it very slowly as they say in the post you sent me, and how much can the multiplier be increased? Recommended to increase point by point, right? And to wait and watch the temperatures that do not go up of 65 or x there...

If you only want a little more performance at specific times like gaming, you can use the Asus app, increasing the multiplier, and slightly touching the voltage if it needs it.
The most important thing is to control the temperatures, and keep checking that the system is stable with the new configuration.
If what you want is a permanent overclock, then it is better to do it from the BIOS, but if you do the homework first with the Asus application, you could save yourself a lot of work knowing where the stability limit is.

The 2500k has a reputation for overclocking well, and it is common to see them at ~4.5Ghz (x45), but if you don't want to touch voltage, you shouldn't have a problem for it to hold x40 (4Ghz).

Alright, alright, I have a problem.
When I increased the multiplier, I now have x38, I increased it by 3 points. Right after playing Rome 2 Total War lol... my machine restarts, is that because of the voltage? If so, which one should I increase?

VTT voltage 1.076
CPU PLL voltage 1.832
VCCSA voltage 0.925Those are the voltages I have, should I increase any? By how much?

What you need to increase is the VCore, which Intel says you can do up to 1.5V, but if we're talking about not stressing the hardware too much, it's better to go below 1.4V and always keep an eye on the temperature.
