Amd Phenom II X4 925 overclocking help
-
Hello how are you?? I'm telling you, I'd like to overclock my processor to see if I can get more performance to be able to stream better while I play.
I've been reading and looking for guides but I can't find anything about this processor, only about the BE and mine isn't.
I'm going to leave you some screenshots of HW Monitor and CPU-Z and see if you can help me and tell me what I should touch in the bios.
By the way my complete pc is:
Amd Phenom II X4 925
Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UDH3
Amd Radeon HD 6870 1GB DDR5
G-Skill DDR3 1333 8gb(4x2)
Antec silent pro 850w power supply
Antec twelve hundred v2 case
Noctua noctua nh-u9b se2 heatsink
regards!

Thanks for responding, I've already read all the posts and I'm starting with the simple stuff.
I increased the bus to 240. Core speed 3360. Multiplier x14.
For now it's stable and doesn't go over 68°C with prime 95, with just a Noctua fan and the case fans at minimum.
What's the next step? Should I keep trying to increase the bus? Or should I start touching some voltages? Can you tell me what the maximum voltage is for my micro?
Regards!

I lowered the multiplier to the ram since it was running at 1600 and now they go to 666.7x2 (1333) The NB frequency I have it at 2500. Core speed 3500 (multiplier to 14) bus speed 250. ht link 2500. What do you recommend I do now? The voltages are automatic. Regards! -
Check the voltage down.
