Is this normal for an i7 2600?

Hello, I wanted to let you know that I increased the multiplier of an i7 2600 (WITHOUT K) to x42 since I had seen that it could be increased with an MSI z77a-g43 military III motherboard with Windows 7 ultimate 64 bits and I saw that it increased my ghz to 4.1 as a maximum until then everything was normal, when I turned on my pc with Windows 8 since I have two hard drives, 1 with Windows 7 and another with Windows 8 both 64 bits I see this….
is it normal for it to go to 5ghz? or is it an error? I'm wondering if it's going to fry my i7 xD thanks.here I leave it in large

But the problem is that my i7 is the 2600 without k, that is, it is capped and cannot be overclocked beyond the turbo boost, I increased the multiplier to x42 which is the only thing that allows overclocking an i7 2600, I ran the stress test with Windows 7 64 bits and it reaches 4.1ghz and the temperatures do not exceed 38º at rest and 63º under stress, and I did not touch the voltages
how can it be that with Windows 8 it reaches 5ghz without the multiplier being increased to 42, it would be 4.2ghz max :S

Well, it's probably a Windows 8 error, because according to CPU-Z, the values are fine, 4.1ghz and 4.2ghz, while the Windows 8 CPU shows 5.16ghz xD thanks.
