2013, HL forum: "Which graphics card is best for my computer?"
2015, HL forum: "What computer can I put with my graphics card?"
Let's see how much of this is propaganda and how much improvement it will mean once it hits the streets.
All that's left is for them to come out with a series of CPUs that can at least compare with Intel's.Good news Fassou.

Edit: What holds me back the most isn't the 600 euros (which is a lot), but the 300 whiskies that the r9-290x apparently gobbles up. That said, the 270 is shouting: "Take me home.":D
Pd:Radeon R9-290X: Hardware specs and benchmarks of AMD’s Titan killer | ExtremeTech
The more I read it, the more I drool. -
Really if the R9 290X competes with the Titans or the GTX780 is something I don't care about, because I don't have the need and even less the budget, to throw away the money that way, but something in the $200 segment that they assign to the R9 270X :rollani:
As they say in "The Good Wife": In my opinion
, the most interesting thing is the issue of Mantle, which shows the way towards better optimization of the engines, thanks to the agreement with the best-selling churreros of EA (DICE and its BF4), and away from the wrong path paved by nVIDIA with its PhysX.Quite unexpectedly, AMD introduced what it calls Mantle, a cross-platform application programming interface (that will only support Windows operating system initially) designed specifically for graphics processing units based on graphics core next (GCN) architecture, presenting a deeper level of hardware optimization. Being low-level API, Mantle can bypass all the bottlenecks modern PC/API architectures; according to AMD, Mantle enables nine times more draw calls per second than DirectX and OpenGL thanks to lower CPU overhead. AMD and EA/DICE announced a Mantle renderer for the forthcoming Battlefield 4 game in December, 2013. Mantle will be detailed further at the AMD Developer Summit, APU13, taking place in November.

They look good, will we have to update the platform? I'm scared, I've only had mine for a year...
What I still don't understand is why they put a turbine fan on the most powerful ones, if they are supposed to be a scourge...
And for all this, I'm buying graphics cards from the 5000 series today... :ugly:
Best regards!

I'm crossing my fingers that the 8800 won't turn out to be better than the GTX 760 :ugly:
I was craving a green one after 4 reds, I suppose that for what I paid the direct competitor is the 8850, which I doubt is better so for now I'm not worried xD
Editing: The 5850 Xtreme was a fucking performance/price reference :sisi:

I'm really sorry to give you this bad news, Obione, MSI Radeon R9 280X video card review: AMD teaches an old GPU some new tricks | PCWorld.
To make you feel better, nowadays, performance depends a lot on the game (Mantle is not yet introduced and it's not a technology that serves to improve previous games), the worst part is that the 280x (~290 €) is much cheaper (today) than the gtx770 (~365 €) (it costs about 80 euros less, comparing both from GigaByte, and they have the same cooling system.)
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
AMD Radeon R9 280X Gigabyte Windforce Unboxing & ReviewApparently, the 270x is relegated to "ugly duckling", fighting with the 7970. :ugly:

Well but the 280X is 300 bucks, you left me all fucked up :ugly:
-
Bueno pero la 280X son 300 pavos, me habías dejao toh jodío :ugly:
Nada hijo, que no hay manera: Online computer store: sale of Computers PcComponentes.com
From the 14th, although it is one of Sapphire-nistán. Calculate about 30 euros more for brands like MSI, GigaByte or Asus.
It is surprising (or perhaps not so much) that none have designed a specific cooler for the new range: they simply use what they already have.Edit: Now that we can read the reviews of these cards, it is clear that they consume a lot (above 330 whiskies), and they heat up that it is disgusting: if the manufacturer does not mount a good cooling system (note that they are being equipped with what was already had), or we look for an RL block or better we forget about OC. (Although I still prefer the GA with the Winndforce, as a good fan-boy
)
They are not the kind of cards to rush out and buy, let's say.
