Nvidia GeForce GT 610 - Suggestions?

How much would you recommend I overclock it ImageShack
- Online Photo and Video Hosting? and should I increase the fan speed when doing OC? because I can't configure it much from the panel -
If it's the little fan, don't turn it up too high, it can be too much heat.
-
and the Mhz? it's at 50%, I think I'll raise it to about 60%, I don't want to abuse the cooler
-
I would try around 50 or 60 Mhz to start and see how it responds. Because putting the fan on high won't hurt anything.

I think that card isn't even worth touching, even if it's overclocked, it won't work miracles because it's very weak, it would be much better to save some money and get a more powerful one.
For me, to play at least minimally, I wouldn't put less than these cards.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti OC 1GB GDDR5 GV-N65TOC-1GI Graphics Card
Sapphire Radeon HD 7790 Dual-X OC 1GB GDDR5 11210-01-20G Graphics CardI would even look for a second-hand one, you could find something more powerful, in NVIDIA, the 610,630,640 and 650 seem like a joke to me, it's not until the 650ti that you can play, I speak softly, although not with maximum graphics of course.

The GT610 is the most economical graphics card, but also the lowest range within the GT-6XX range. With this you can barely play even at medium detail. That's right. For the equipment you have on that computer, if you want to play minimally well and don't want to spend a lot of money, I would look on eBay for a GTX550, GTX460, HD6770 or HD6850.
Another thing you will have to take into account is the power supply of your equipment if you finally decide to put in your computer one of those like the ones fjavi advises. It is very likely that the power supply for a low-end graphics card like the GT610 like the one you put at the beginning is fine, but not for a much better and more powerful graphics card like the GTX650 Ti or the HD7790.

I have already been looking, I will buy an i5 4570, a 650 W power supply and a GIGABYTE. GTX650 GDDR5 2GB 128BIT VGA+2DVI+HDMI OC in January, because I want to play at least decently

Buy a 500W power supply for over 50€ and an HD 7770, at Xtremmedia you have the Gigabyte at a very good price.

Keep in mind that that card and 2Gb are useless, if you want to play decently and you're going to put a power supply and CPU, it will be more profitable to get a better graphics card, for example the 650ti gets about 30% more out of the 650 and it's a better chip, but if you go to the 660 the difference is already huge.
In the end, it will be more profitable because the 650 will be short in a short time, it's already limited, I would wait a couple of weeks for the 260X to come out and maybe a 750Ti and if they are expensive, the normal thing is that others will go down like the 660, the 7870,7850, even now it's quite advisable to stretch to these cards that should last much longer
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC 2GB GDDR5 GV-N660OC-2GD Graphics Card
Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB GDDR5 11199-16-20G Graphics CardI don't know if they are cheaper in other places.
With that 650 it's starvation for tomorrow although obviously it will pull much more than a 610, but in the end it pays to pay a little more for something that will last much longer.
The 750ti is about to come out and the new AMD ones, that 750ti if they put it at a good price looks good, it will perform better than the 660, if they release it expensive they will have to lower the 660 and possibly all the lower ones.

In January I was planning to change my PC, I was leaning towards a GTX 660 unless you recommend other options, my maximum is 150, I could stretch up to 160 for the graphics card, what processor do you recommend? I was thinking of an i5 because you say AMD overheats a lot

For me the problem with AMD is not that it gets hot, it's more the platform, if they are 8 mininucleos but if now it doesn't take advantage like Intel of powerful graphics in the future it will be worse.
Intel also has its drawbacks, the more economical platforms are not going to have CPUs with more than 4 cores, but I see it better because the consoles even if they are 8 core will be low powered, I think an Intel 3xx0 or 4xx0 will continue to perform well even if the console CPUs have more cores.
Then the 660 is fine but go over 160€ wait a few days for them to release the 750 Ti and possibly if it's not in your budget they will lower the 660, the 750ti seems to be more powerful than the 660 what is not known is at what price they will put it on the market, if it comes to replace the 650Ti it should be between 160 to 180€, the price that the competition has will also influence.

Many thanks, I will buy the GTX 660, but which motherboard do you recommend:
The one that fits me best: GIGABYTE GA.B85M.D3H S1150 4DDR3 2PCI PCIE 4SATA3 :: APPInformatica.com ::
Or I am more inclined to this GIGABYTE PLACA BASE Z87 HD3 ATX LGA1150 :: APPInformatica.com ::
If you know of one at pc components it would be of great help to me, my goal is to buy the i5 4570 and the GTX 660, the 650 w power supply I already have half bought and the case I will opt for the NOX ATX COOLBAY SX for the performance and the price, the ram (6gb), the HDD (1 Tera) and the reader I have from the old pc, but I will renew it in January. -

Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3 GA-Z87-HD3 Placa Baseor this one doesn't look bad.
Asrock Z87 Pro4 90-MXGPP0-A0UAYZ Placa Base
that Asrock seems more complete with 6 phases, two more USB, two HDMI and optical audio output.the 660 has dropped a bit, I suppose that now they will release the 750Ti and 760Ti, the first one if they put a good price on it should be a better option than the 660, especially for the 256bits that will take advantage of the 2Gb of memory better.
it seems that the new AMD is going to make Nvidia have to lower prices.regards
