How to play original Blu-rays in XBMC under Linux?
-
Hello everyone,
I have been using a HTPC with Kubuntu installed and XBMC for some time now, and I have no problems playing MKV videos and images from bluray ISOs that I have created from my original blurays (I do the conversion on another computer with Windows).
I added a bluray player to the HTPC and I find it impossible to watch these original discs (although the ISOs that I generated myself do work).
How can I enable playback of these discs in XBMC? I tried installing an addon called makeMKV, but when I try to play it gives me an error saying something like that it is not installed.
Can you help me? I would like to be able to read the original blurays as easily as I currently read their ISOs
Thank you very much in advance.

Here they explain how to install MakeMKV and the Bluray plug-in.
I don't have a Bluray player, so I don't know firsthand the limitations of playing this format on a PC.
