Hello to the whole community. I have a serious problem with my machine and I need your help, I am already very grateful to anyone who can give me a hand (I hope this is the right place to ask)

4 months ago I upgraded the motherboard, processor, and RAM. MSI 990XA-GD55 with an AMD FX6100 and 2 sticks of 4GB each Kingston 1333 I think. Since I got it, I haven't had any problems.
A week ago I bought a graphics card, a GeForce 650 TI. The first few days I had no problems, I use it for work, and I play 2 online games, one is rFactor and the other is Planet Side2 which is much more demanding and newer than rFactor. In PS2, despite playing for several hours in a row, I never had any problems, but for a few days now, when I'm in rFactor, I get a couple of graphics stutters and out of nowhere my screen freezes and I have to turn it off because nothing responds. This happened to me 3 or 4 times in the last few days, but yesterday it happened again and then it happened twice more on the Windows desktop and not in rFactor.

An important symptom that I can't understand is the following:
After restarting the computer after this, for a few minutes the machine is slow. Opening the HW monitor to check temps and voltages, I noticed the following

      • When the computer is running well, in the motherboard temperatures, I see TEMPINI0 and TEMPINI2 with temperatures below 45ºC but nothing else, that is, there is no TEMPINI1
      • When I restart and see that the computer is slow, between those two values (which still have normal temperatures), TEMPINI1 appears with an extremely high temperature of around 125ºC (remember that when the computer is running normally, this value doesn't even appear in HW Monitor)

Things that I think might help guide someone who knows more than me:

      • I have a Thermaltake TR2 43 430W real power supply, when I bought the graphics card they told me (and the box confirms it) that with more than 400W it was enough, but I'm doubting if the power supply might not be giving out (it seems strange to me that it doesn't happen when playing Planet Side2, and I can't find a relationship with the temperature of TEMPINI1 that I mentioned)
      • When I installed the graphics card, I took the opportunity to disassemble the processor fan and clean it, I hope I didn't put the fan in wrong or something like that, although yesterday I checked and everything seems okay
      • In my house there was another machine connected wirelessly to my network and recently my brother moved in with his machine, so there is a 3rd machine, both connected by a tplink723, from there they have connection problems these two machines and maybe it's not an HW issue but that the router gets saturated and throws an error (I don't think it has to do with it but I'm throwing it in)
      • I read somewhere that it could be the BIOS outdated, and in Everest it marked my BIOS as more than 2 years old

This was my first problem and anyone who knows something will be welcome any recommendation, now I put a second problem and maybe more serious.

Given what I read about the BIOS, I decided to update it as a last resort, I followed the MSI steps (download a program to a USB drive, run the update program from the USB drive and follow the installer), when it was in the process of updating the computer froze again and I had no other option but to turn it off, since then the machine doesn't turn on and I don't know what to do, I turn it on and there's no signal to the monitor, nor does the red light that the disk starts to work turn on, that is, it's dead.

Well, once again I appreciate anyone who can help me, besides, I use it for work (I'm a programmer and many times I have to take work home, and I'm a freelance designer), the truth is that I urgently need to solve the problem. Greetings to all.

By interrupting the BIOS update, you have left it corrupt (incomplete), so it doesn't work :nono:

Under normal circumstances, we would tell you that your board has died :muerto:, but according to the manufacturer's website, your board has a system called M-Flash, through which you should be able to recover it.

        @MSI:

How can I recover my motherboard after bios flash failed?
This MB have Multi BIOS feature and system will automaticaly bootup from 2nd Bios chip and help you recover your system from failure. Try the below steps to recover your sytem from bios flash failure: Step 1: Boot up your system and then press Del button to get in EFI BIOS Setup. Step 2: Choose Setting> Security > Multi BIOS Auto Update and Change default option to “Enable”. Press F10 to “Save Configruation and Reset”, then choose “Yes”. Step-3: You will see the bios Flash process immediately after exit from bios setp, Wait until bios update reaches 100% then reset the system. Note: Please do not turn off the system during the Bios Auto update procedure.

In the MSI forums, it seems that several boards have had problems trying to put their latest BIOS.

        Salu2!

First of all, thank you for responding. I had already read what you indicated, but I don't know how I can enter the BIOS as it says there if the machine doesn't actually respond to me (black screen). Anyway, when I get home I will try, thank you again.

When you get home, unplug the computer from the power outlet and remove the battery from the motherboard. After a few minutes, put it back, and connect the cable to the power supply to start the computer normally.

According to MSI, it should start using the secondary BIOS, so by pressing the DEL key, you could enter the BIOS and follow the rest of the steps I mentioned above.

            Goodbye!

**Hello….. I have the same MSI 990XA GD55 motherboard. I had the BIOS version E7640vN1 and I wanted to update to the latest E7640vN2 and it failed! during the update in Windows everything ended well. but when the computer rebooted I was left with a black screen. The Mobo does not start up.

Alfrosende, has that procedure of removing the battery worked for you?**

Be careful with BIOS updates under Windows, they usually cause problems, the best thing is either with a floppy disk drive (new motherboards no longer have it), or with a bootable USB drive, with the program to update the bios and the bios you want to update..
