Help update PC

Hello,
I have a computer about 3 years old with the following specifications:
-Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 640, 3000 MHz
-Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H
-Memory: 2GBx4 DDR3-1333 (Total 8GB)
-Graphics Card: Ati Radeon HD 5670 (1GB)
-HDD Seagate 1Tb

What I want now that I have some money is to upgrade it a little (150-160€), the first thing I will do is put in an SSD Samsung EVO 120GB for the S.O and I will leave the 1TB drive as storage.
I use it to play games from time to time like Tera, Smite… and things like that. What else do you recommend changing so that the computer runs more smoothly? Graphics Card?

To update that computer, you would have to change the platform, but with your budget, it's not enough, so putting an SSD is a good option, but if you can sell the graphics card, you could buy something at the level of an R9 270X, or higher if you plan to keep it as a down payment on a future computer based on LGA1150.

I agree. Besides, your computer is a few years old but it's not that bad. Your micro performs similar to a Q6600 (without overclocking). If the power supply you have is good and can handle a graphics card like the one they're telling you, then go for it.

Regarding the SSD, it will make your computer more fluid, but for gaming you won't notice much difference. I would opt for a new graphics card and a clean install of the operating system, so that with everything newly installed the computer will be more agile.

Uff it's way over my price range, how about the r7 260x? it's around 120€, a bit more in line with my budget.

If not, go for that or a 2GB 650 Ti that will cost you and perform similarly.
