GTX 660 sli

Hello, I have a question, they are selling an Asus GTX 660ti on eBay in an auction, for a discount or that it doesn't work, it says it crashes, the question is that I have an Asus GTX 660, and I would like to know if I could use that one in SLI even if it crashes, there are 2 hours left to finish the auction, I know it's little time to answer me :troll:

If it fails alone I doubt it will work well in SLI, I wouldn't take the risk.

Besides, even if it worked, you couldn't do SLI between a 660Ti and a 660, one is a GK104 and the other is a GK106, forget it and if you want to do an SLI, get a 660 that should be getting cheaper.

Even better to wait a few months with that 660 and then change it for another mid-range one in 20nm, you'll have a performance similar to the SLI of the 660 or maybe a little less but it has more advantages, a monogpu, less consumption, less temperature and less dependence on drivers or SLI profiles.

Thanks fjavi, for now I won't make sli or change my graphics card, I just bought it.
In about a year, when I have saved some money, I will build a new pc, and I will leave the one I have in the signature for the living room tv, which is more than enough for playing fifa with friends.
In a year or a little more, I estimate to have saved about 2,500€ and I will be able to build a pretty decent pc.

I would have bought this if it worked because for about 30 euros to make sli it wouldn't be bad, anyway, I'm fine with what I have

But it's risky, because if it doesn't work it's like throwing away 65€ and I think the one who sells it must have made sure it doesn't work well.

I think it's better to hold out with a 660 and in a few months get one of the new ones, they should perform much better than a 660 and will have new technology, or wait until Dx12 cards come out and buy one for less than 200€ that should last two or three years at least.
