GTX680 vs GTX770
-
Hello, I have a question, between a msi gtx 680 twin frozr 2gb oc edition and a gtx770, which one would you choose?? I have the option to buy that same 680 for 250€ and exchange it for my gtx 660.
If it would be a bottleneck for my cpu, maybe I could overclock it, what advice do you give me?Sent from my bq Aquaris 5.7 using Tapatalk

A GTX770 is a GTX680 with some OC from the factory, which costs from 285€ onwards.
So if the GTX680 is new, consider the savings, but if not, it's better to have a warranty :sisi:
Salu2!

The 680 still has a valid warranty, it's new, it has only been used to test on a team and to work correctly, my doubt was whether it was worth it for that price or not, and I suppose I will notice a difference with my current graphics

In the end I opted not to buy it, I believed that the 680 was superior to a 770, which was closer to a 780, I didn't look at the specifications of each one either, as I'm a bit busy, with so many out there, and I get lost;).
Anyway, I think I'll make the most of the 660 I have, and maybe, someday try to OC the gpu and cpu, for that I'll have to read the thread on how to do OC carefully, and if I have any doubts, I'll let you know, I'm a bit scared of that topic, I suppose I'll have to go step by step.
Thank you very much for your time and have a good Sunday!!!!:thumbup:Sent from my bq Aquaris 5.7 using Tapatalk

Anyway, I think I'll take advantage and squeeze the 660 that I have, and maybe, someday try to OC the gpu and cpu, for that I will have to read the thread on how to do OC well, and in that case, if I have any doubts, I will tell you, it scares me a little that topic, I'll have to go little by little I suppose.

The 680 is worse, it has less frequency, slower memory and in those graphics the memory matters, for having more bandwidth, I even think that the components of the 770 are better and the GPU is a better revision of the 28nm, the 680 and more if it's second-hand is already to get it cheap, for 40 or 50€ I would go head over heels for the new 770.
What I will tell you is that having a 660 it's better to wait for the 20nm ones to come out, that's where you will gain a lot of performance and spending what a 770 costs or less.
If nvidia doesn't do anything strange it's easy that an 860 should already perform what a 780 or more and costing 250€, that at launch it may be less, the 660 with how cut it is already performed what a 580, the 860 could be the same or even better, although everything will depend on the competition there is.Seeing what a GM107 takes out of a GK107 the GM106 can be serious and more if it's 20nm.

Thank you very much for the advice, the truth is that I think it would also be good for me to wait for the new generation, which will have a better structure.
