Hello everyone, I am about to buy the LG 32ln540b 32-inch LED TV. My idea is to use it as a monitor with my PC and watch movies, play games, and browse a little bit of everything with the PC.
This LED has an IPS panel and I was told it's good, but it's HD Ready 1366x768, which means it's not full HD, and I would like to replace my 20-inch monitor that has a resolution of 1600x900, which is higher than the LG LED.
I have a Radeon HD 7700 card with an HDMI output, which is just mid-range, so for gaming, the resolution of the LG LED TV is fine for me, and for now and for a good while, I can't afford to buy a full HD one, so my doubt is whether it would be fine if it looked passable using the native resolution of the LG LED HD with the PC.
Since I want to use it with the PC, I don't care that it's not a smart TV or that it doesn't connect to the internet, because I would browse from the computer and do everything else, and I'm only interested in using it as a monitor for general use and gaming.
But my doubt is whether, when facing the PC, it would look sharp or if it would look blurry or if I wouldn't distinguish the characters and things like that well, although I use very little office software and almost only browse and entertain myself with the LED.
If anyone has an LED like this using it with the PC, I would appreciate their opinion or comment..

To use it as an HTPC sitting more than 2 meters from the screen, it may work, but as a monitor substitute, thinking about sitting a meter away, I think it gets worse.

Try putting your monitor at that resolution, and imagine it almost twice the size

        Regards!

          Thanks for your response.
My video card allows me to connect up to 3 monitors, could I use one for browsing on the 20" LED and for gaming and movies the 32" LED is a good idea? or nothing to do with it, what do you think because it's my first time I'm going to buy a 32" LED

I would use it as a monitor up to 27'' because from 24'' the pixels start to be considerably large... apart from the size of the screen which is also not comfortable to work close to, as a monitor.

Recently I bought an LG 24MA53 that has TDT and is FullHD with IPS panel. The truth is that I am very happy with the purchase, there is the 27'' model if you are interested...

            Greetings!

but could the configuration I mentioned earlier work, that is, using the 32 LED for games and movies and the 20 LED I already have as a monitor for browsing and other tasks, taking advantage of the fact that my video card allows me to have several LEDs connected or would it not work well?

I recommend that you buy a monitor directly (not a TV) of 27" as XaviJS points out, since it is the maximum size at which the pixels are acceptable to the eye when working with the PC. Sizes larger than 27" already need a much greater distance to accommodate the view. I have a BenQ GW2750HM LED and I am delighted, it allows me to both play and watch movies, as well as work and browse normally without having distance problems. Likewise, by having only one screen, you reduce the space occupied, since unless you want to mount a surround of 3 monitors, having two screens will be more of a hindrance than an advantage, from my point of view.

As you have said that you are going to play, another important thing that you will miss if you buy a TV instead of a monitor is the response time. Monitors are better prepared for games, having low response times (the best are around 2ms) that help to counteract or minimize the well-known ghosting. TVs, on the other hand, have very high response times, so the experience with games is noticeably worse.

                Regards

Being 27" I would look for a 2k and not 1080 or you will see the pixels a lot...
