What can I improve on my PC with 100€
-
Hello, I have a PC at home that I use for gaming and renderingSpecifically these features:
AeroCool GT Advance Edition White case
Asrock 960GC-GS FX motherboard
AMD FX Series FX-4130 3.8Ghz 4X - Processor
RAM memory " KHX1600C10D3B1/8G "
Gigabyte GV-N650WF2-1GI V3.0 graphics card
B-Move BM600W power supply
Western Digital Caviar Oem 500gb.
Well, the thing is that I already have 100€ saved up and I would like to improve it, if the thing that needs the most improvement is the cooler (I have the factory one) I would be interested in overclocking it (I don't know if to 4ghz or to 4.2ghz)
Well, the opinion of a professional...? Thanks in advance

You can get a 256GB Crucial MX100 SSD or a power supply, although I would almost put the money in the piggy bank for when it's time to upgrade the platform.

I would also continue saving, although with that source I wouldn't sleep peacefully, and even less doing OC.
Salu2!

The power supply is bad and the motherboard is not a marvel. Also, I think it supports 8-core micros, but I don't see support for more than 95W so I would leave it as it is and continue saving for the future, because even if you put a better micro in it, that motherboard for Overclock is not going to be the panacea.
As a whim, an SSD as they indicate is a marvel, but at the gaming level, unless the game starts up faster or the loading between levels, you won't notice much change in general. For office work, the speed is noticeable.
If you want to put a cool cooler in it, a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is worth something less than 30€ and performs very well. I wouldn't touch much more, the power supply is bad, but if until now it has pulled through, you can continue with it and in the future you will put a better power supply when you change your equipment, because with that power supply, if you do Overclock... :wall: I don't even need to tell you what can happen.

And could you put this processor in it? AMD FX Series FX-8350 4.0Ghz 8X Black Edition processor Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Check it on the manufacturer's website, look up your motherboard model and see the supported processors.
If you decide before, I would buy the 8320, it's pretty much the same.

I think your motherboard can't handle a micro over 95W according to the website.

It says it can handle processors over 95w
