      Hello everyone

I am thinking about building a new computer after six and a half years of stretching my poor core 2 duo E8500. I would use it for simulation and first-person games. I would like it to be as powerful as possible. I should also mention that I could reuse the case, a Tacens Algeo... (to save some money...), the power supply, an OCZ of 650 watts and the heatsink that I put on it a couple of years ago for overclocking, which is the Ninja 3.
Ah... I would also keep the DVD burner/reader, and only put a solid disk to reuse the two that I have mounted. So motherboard... processor.. memory and graphics card... I would like to reuse the rest to spend everything on those four components that are the most important. I do not rule out overclocking it in the future.

Well that's it..let's see if you can guide me.

Best regards and thank you very much

Have you thought about building a second-hand Quad Core? They can be seen from 40€ and this way you could extend the useful life of the equipment a little more. Before my current PC, I had a Q6600 and I was very happy with it, but then the opportunity to buy the current platform with a very good saving came up and I didn't miss it.

If you want it for gaming and the pc is already 6 years old, I think that even if you put a quad core, it won't solve much.
I would put an i5, an sd, an asus extreme 4 and the best GPU you can with your budget and play. The source I see a bit scarce for a micro and last generation graphics.

Make a tentative budget on pcbox or some online store and post it here to see if we can improve it

          Greetings

What do you think of this configuration? I barely understand anything about solid state drives... I've let myself be guided by capacity/price. Motherboard... there must be another cheaper one that has good control over OC. I've opted for socker 2011 because it's the newest so far... and the processor of the least expensive ones of that socket but I want it to be overcloclable.

If you don't want to build 3 graphics or an x6 it's better to save a few euros with a Z97 plus 4770K.

For SSD get a Crucial MX100.

Editing: You have a discount return on a pretty nice motherboard and a Gigabyte 280X.

              Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X OC 3GB GDDR5 (Rev 2.0) Reacondicionado GV-R928XOC-3GD REV2.0-RAS Tarjeta Gráfica

              AnandTech | Bench - GPU14

They are close in performance and you save a few euros. If you don't want multiGPU it would also be fine to go for a 100€ motherboard like the Gigabyte Z97-HD3 or the ASRock Z97 Pro4, it's more important that you get a good micro when it comes to OC.

What cooler and case are you planning to use?

Hello, are you referring to these components?

                MSI Z97 Gaming 7 911-7916-003 Motherboard

                Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5Ghz Box BX80646I74770K Processor

With that motherboard will I be able to do OC without problems?

                Thank you very much

                  Hello Obione

As a heatsink I want to use the one I currently have which is the Ninja 3, I think in its last revision.
The case would be the Tacens Algeo, to which I removed the huge fan it has on the side so that the Ninja 3 would fit.

The power supply is an OCZ of 650..at least for now…later on depending on the need I would change it.

                  Best regards and thanks

At this point, it's better to get the 4790K, which improves things over the 4770K, although to tell the truth, I have the one in my signature and I see temperature issues as luxurious, perhaps the last units of the 4770K enjoy the latest improvements of the 4790, and they haven't wanted to say anything. I have very good temperatures with a cooler that's not too far off, a Thermaltake Nic F4.

                    I would choose:

                    Asrock Z97 Extreme 4
Core i7 4770K/90K (better the last one)
                    2x4GB DDR3 GSKILL DDR3 between 1600 low latency or 2133
and I would invest in the graphics.

But that case might become too small for you in the short term, I've had it.

Hello, right now I am waiting because nvidia is releasing new graphics cards in a couple of months and I want to see how the market turns out. As for the processor, I was thinking about the one you mentioned because it goes to 4 ghz and because I assume it is an evolution for the better of the other. The same memory at 2166 or whatever... but the fastest. And as for the motherboard... there I get lost. If the one you put is of the latest generation... well the price is very good. My case... well this week I put in a friend's nvidia 470 and it fit well. And it's not small. Anyway, when I recover from the blow, I'll put a matching one later.

Thanks for your opinion and goodbye!!!
