Bios locked
-
Hello everyone,
A colleague who works at a recycling company has given me a Dell Optiplex 760 PC with an ultra-small case. It's pretty good, it's a Core 2 Duo 8400 with 4 GB of RAM. The problem I have is that there's no way to enter the BIOS. No matter what I do when I press the F2, F11, Del, Esc keys, it freezes and doesn't start. It only starts if I don't touch anything and Windows starts up. The keyboard is USB, so I assume the BIOS is locked. People have told me that in others they have tried to reset it by removing the battery, etc., and they haven't achieved anything. Even if you cause a hardware failure by removing the HDD, the BIOS still doesn't start.
I would appreciate it if someone could help me out. Thanks -
Have you tried updating the BIOS?

Hello, I have tried it but when I run the program it asks for a password to update
Best regards -
San Google told me this, I hope it helps you.

NOTE: Always unplug the power cable before operating inside. Use latex gloves or discharge static to avoid damaging components.

Thank you very much
