Hello, after several years with my q6600 I am determined to upgrade my pc.
I would like you to take a look at the configuration I have chosen so far…:
      PcComponentes

-I have a pretty clear idea about the processor.
-Placa… to be honest I am either asus or gigabyte (personal nonsense :troll:) and I think this one meets my needs and expectations for some OC.
-Ram: after looking at the speed and price of these memories they are the fastest and best priced, that is to say that for example some kingston of 2133 8g. are at 99€ and these at 2666 are only 15€ + so it's worth it... for now with 8gb I think I am more than served
-SSd- I also have a pretty clear idea about this...

The rest of the components that I plan not to recycle but to continue using are as follows:

      -Source: Corsair TX850
-Gpu: MSI 560Ti I know that this is the only thing that may be a bit behind but I will upgrade it if I need it later.
-Cpu cooler: Noctua NH-U12P (I will have to get the kit for socket 1150)
-Sound card: Asus Xonar DG is it better to use this one than the one integrated in the new board?

      What do you think?;D

Well, an SSD a bit big for my taste, I would go for half the size and then a mechanical one for the rest of the programs and storage (but I say it's personal). The memories are high profile, be careful because they could give you problems with the heatsink.
Regarding the sound card on the motherboard, I say the same as with the stock coolers: the odd thing is to find something worse. ;D
Yes, a pretty cool machine to expand little by little. ;D

256GB with games and Windows you need it, use an SSD for some programs if and for others no... apart from having to choose different folders to install is a show. Before I used about 160-180 of a 256gb disk and now about 50 of a 120gb but in Linux with few games and without music, photos or videos (I have that in the NAS). Also it is good to leave some free space on the SSDs.

The speed of the memories is not relevant in these platforms to do oc, its frequency is completely independent of that of the CPU, so look for a good price and voltage.

So….. Are those memories good or do you recommend others that don't raise the budget?

And the processor that I am now considering again... Do you recommend the i7 4470k or the one I was already thinking about, the i5 4690k?
I use the PC for gaming and not much else...

If what you are thinking is to go with the integrated graphics, you will notice a change compared to what you have, and yes, it would be worth it to "when in doubt, go for the darker one". However, I would try to revise the budget so that the GPU and CPU are included in it.

The truth is that for the moment I was thinking of going with the 560ti….I speak from ignorance but I don't think the integrated graphics are better than this

I am of the opinion that CPU/RAM and GPU should go hand in hand, especially the CPU-GPU duo. If you are thinking of changing that graphics card (although I already know that the 560 still gives you gaming and is better than what the intel hd4600 will give you), then an i7 is worth it, but if what you have in mind is to leave that graphics card, and what you are going to dedicate the machine to is gaming, then a normal i5 will kill it.

But in the end, the decision is yours.

Edit: It also depends on whether you are a follower of new titles or if you are already one of those who only use the archive ;D
