PSU failure with excess power

Hello, my PC restarts when I put the power supply test from OCCT, it also happens when I play demanding games. I have an FX8320, an HD7870, and the power supply is a Nox Urano VX 750W According to what I have been informed, it seems that the power supply provides enough energy for my computer (something that surprised me because it is 750W) The power supply is under warranty but Pccomponentes says they cannot change it for another model. Should I try to get it changed for another one? or sell it and buy another one? I don't have much budget (~60€), I have looked at these, what do you think?

Look for a source from a quality brand and maximum trust like Seasonic, Enermax, Antec, FSP, Be Quiet! or Corsair.

As examples, this Antec True Power TP750C 80+ Gold for 82,60€, a Seasonic M12II EVO-750W 80+ Bronze for 100,70€ or a Enermax revolution XT 730W 80+ Gold for 103,50€.

Y porque tiene que ser la fuente?… porque un test para fuente hacer reiniciar el pc?... también con juegos, no?

Ese software incrementa las perdidas joule de los principales componentes para disipar la mayor cantidad de calor pero el problema puede ser de temperatura o de RAM.

Ese micro disipa que da gusto, testea los componentes por separado y a la vez con distintos software y monitoriza en tiempo real con HWiNFO las temperaturasl, voltajes y si la placa lo indica, la potencia disipada.

Si funciona correctamente es adecuada para tu configuración, por eso mejor es mirar si cae u oscila demasiado algún voltaje al meterle candela.

Primero testea bien todos los componentes, no parece a priori que sea la fuente… si fuera la fuente se hubiera churruscado en cerocoma.

En todo caso si finalmente fuera la fuente es porque tienes indicios... principalmente caída o bajadas de tensión (deltaV excesivo) aunque lo lógico si la PSU da problemas es que tenga Vdrop (caída de tensión o undervolt porque en carga no pueden mantener la demanda de potencia)... por lo que bastaría con enviarles a las de la tienda una captura con esos voltajes anómalos.

Yo personalmente me decanto en un 80% por que tienes problemas de temperatura (cpu, gpu o PBase) y un 20% que es la RAM, que siempre puede estar dando pol saco y cuesta detectar que no va bien.

Regarding the temperature issue, I would say that if you tell us how you have the micro dissipated and at what speed, even better. The Stock Cooler, even at stock speed, works at full capacity (the fan) when you run a test because it is not capable of dissipating that micro. If you also had the micro overclocked, the problem would be greater. Also, tell us if you have the stock graphics card or not and even how you have the memory, to see if the instability issues are not coming from the power supply. Also, indicate the motherboard you have.

The power supply you have is not a top-notch power supply, but it should be sufficient for your equipment. As they mention, go eliminating component by component with different tests. Parameterize temperatures and voltages of the power supply (as well as variations in all lines) when you run the various tests.

I'm not saying it's not the power supply, but as I mention, that power supply can handle that equipment well, it's just that after trying everything, it seems like the power supply is the problem. It won't be for lack of power or quality, Nox is not a top-of-the-range brand, but it's not such a bad brand. In fact, I prefer them to Tacens in general. Nox makes power supplies with good value for money in general.

Knowing which hardware configuration (with models and brands) we are talking about would make things much easier: motherboard, micro, heatsink, ram, gpu, etc.
