Has anyone made a mod to an iMac G4?

Hello, a while ago I picked up an imac G4, it wasn't working and in the end I decided to mod it, but the first thing to do is to adapt the DVI to use its monitor, but I've got stuck at step 6. THE GRAY LCD CABLE of this guide:
I'm not able to move forward from there, the monitor turns on, but I'm already lost with this last part, any help will be welcome.
