Problem with VMWare and 64-bit

Bueno, tengo Vista x64, VMWare 6.5 (el cual admite 32 i 64 bits) y un Intel e2180 (que según la web de Intel tiene es 64 bits) y al intentar crear una máquina con Windows x64 me dice algo asi como:

"attempting to load a 64 bit app, however this CPU is not compatible with 64-bit mode".

Que coño pasa???

Pues no me hagas mucho caso, pero me suena que el EMT64 es una implementacion que permite correr sistemas operativos de 64bit pero no es un funcionamiento nativo a 64bit.
Otra opcion es que el vmware no reconozca correctamente el cpu y sus capacidades.
