Where is my bottleneck?
-
Good morning, a while ago I bought a computer that I detail below, the use is 90% for photo editing and browsing.
The problem is that recently I changed my camera and the files I edit with it now easily reach 100-200Mb, so I notice a certain slowness.I would like to know where to invest some money to improve the performance of Photoshop and Lightroom.
The SSD only has W7 and programs.
The photos are on one of the NAS drives (I don't want RAIDs).The current configuration is:
Antec Basiq 550W Plus Modular
Cooler Master Dominator CM-690 II Advanced
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus Samsung 250GB 840 Evo - Solid State Drive (250 GB, Serial ATA III, 63.5 mm (2.5 "), 540 MB/s, 520 MB/s, 66000 IOPS)Intel Core i7 860 2.8Ghz Box Socket 1156

If you can stretch it, add a few more euros to the motherboard, with an H97 ASRock/Gigabyte over 95€ being sufficient. If you're going to take advantage of the graphics calculation, you can add something decent later on, comment on the budget if that's the case.

I don't have a fixed budget to improve it, but more than 100 euros would be excessive for me.
Having a board that works well, is there any other option better than spending those 95 euros on another one and leaving the current one in a drawer?

Your platform can't give more of itself, so that you would notice some improvement, you would have to update it, and I fear that unless you switch to the new X99 with DDR4, which would be at least 900€ per micro, motherboard and memory, you would hardly notice a difference.
Some tips to optimize Lightroom.
Salu2!

It is true that there is also no BIG jump if you are not going for an x6 but wow, DDR4 right now is a steal. If anything, it would be an x6 2011 with DDR3.
With 100€ the best thing you can do is put the money in the piggy bank.
