"The application could not be started; the parallel configuration is not correct"
-
Hello, since today this message starts to appear every time I try to run a program, "The application could not be started; the parallel configuration is not correct". I have been searching the network for possible solutions and everything points to it being a Visual C++ library error and they ask me to reinstall it, the problem is that when I try to reinstall said library, Windows 7 x64 gives me the same error, since it does not let me run almost any application, does anyone have a solution?Best regards.

Hello,
What if you uninstall it without further ado?
When it's no longer there, try the applications you usually use, until one fails. And when it fails, look for an older version on the net to "patch" the system and you're done. I say this because it could be a recent update that has "bothered" your computer. In any case, before reinstalling, you must eliminate all traces of any previous library.
Best regards

I can't uninstall or run any program, when I try to run a program I get:
"Access denied!"
which bugs me because the message is in English and Spanish, if I try to run it as an administrator then I get the message:
"The application could not be started; the side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please check the application event log or use the sxstrace.exe command-line tool for more details."
Let's see if anyone knows anything about this.
Thanks.

check your Windows thoroughly, as you may have a trojan

Have you tried restoring the system to a previous point? It should be from a while ago, a week or two.
In theory, the system would not need to use the Visual C++ library for this, so you should not have a problem with it. And if not, from an error-proof mode you can always try it.

It won't let me restore.
In error-proof mode I have the same problem.
Thanks.

I think in this situation you have two options left.
One, from the system symbol, searching for the location of the affected library and deleting it by force using commands (being an administrator).
Two, save the disk information and format.

Finally the solution has been the formatting.
Thanks.
