Changing Antec P182 fans
-
Good afternoon family,
I have been the owner of this case since 2008. At the time I thought that spending more than 100 € was not worth it, but I have been able to verify that buying quality components allows you to use them for many years.
What I see is that after several upgrades, the noise level of the fans has increased even at their low level (they have 3 power levels).
The fans are the standard ones, some TriCool 120mm. Currently there is one rear and top blowing air out and one in front of the hard drives cooling them.
The idea would be to change them all, and as always I would like to hear your opinion, since I have no idea about the market at the moment.
As a store, I am a veteran of pccomponentes, if you can recommend me from their page I would appreciate it.
The processor is currently with a Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO and I think it is pretty cool, although I would also consider improving it if you see it as viable.
As always, thanks for your advice.

Hello CRASHON!!
Well, at Pccomponentes there isn't much variety when it comes to 120mm fans.
There are a couple of them, but I don't know if you'll like them. The Corsairs are pricey and almost all come with colored LEDs and the Tacens aren't bad in price, but for me they are a bit lacking in power, besides that few are adjustable.
Personally, I'm quite a fan of Cooler Master, this model currently seems good to me and with the RPM limitation cables it stays pretty quiet. Then in summer it gets a bit more power and there it has the top of 2000 rpm to dissipate whatever gets in its way.
The Noctua aren't bad at all, they are quiet, although they don't dissipate everything I would like (in my opinion), besides they are a bit pricey under my point of view.
I have specifically three Phobya that give a maximum of 1500 rpm, and they put in a good flow, being quite silent.
I don't know what else to tell you, it's that I mostly have Cooler Master, Noctua and Phobya. I've tried the Tacens and I don't dislike them, although there are better ones. You can get a small idea for now

Best regards!

decent and good value - Enermax TB Apollish 120mm - 10 euros if you are going to buy more than one, these are a good option, you have the silent model and the high pressure one Corsair SP120 High Pressure Dual Pack - 12 cm Fan - 31 euros is a pack of 2 fans Corsair Air Series AF120 Low Noise 2x 120x120x25mm High Dual - 31 euros is a pack of 2 fans and if you want something of high quality that lasts and with a 6-year warranty Noctua NF-F12 PWM Industrial PPC 120mm 2000RPM - 25 euros Pros: ◦High quality ◦Unsurpassed airflow ◦Unsurpassed static pressure Cons: ◦Price ◦Excessively noisy -
Thanks for the replies.
The initial intention is to change the 3, since I only see 2 as scarce, although the truth is that 50€ in fans makes you think about it… Jejejeje
I have liked those Corsair, so far what I have of them is synonymous with good work.
Do you think the quiet series will be enough? I understand that with these they are single speed, nothing to control them, right? -
Okay, I heard the end of the video and I almost got scared…what a scandal, right?
They must be the AF Low without the High...1100 cfm With 21 db...I think 3 of these would be good for a few years...
Considering my non-OC equipment...I think it will keep the CPU cool, right? -
I'm also not willing to spend €50 on fans, it hurts too much when there are alternatives like the Phobya. The AF Low are at 31€ per pair at Pccomponentes as ferelxyx said, and they have a maximum of 1650 rpm, giving a total of about 30 db.
As long as the position is well distributed and you increase the speed in summer, you can have a good temperature in the case. I would recommend that you put an extra one in front, in addition to the one that cools the disks, because that is ultimately already hot air that you put inside directly. That's why some way of "fresher" air from outside is necessary.
If you leave them at the minimum speed in summer, it is very possible that you will find some temperature indicator in yellow or red, I tell you from my own experience

if you don't need much flow and don't want noise
12 CM Fan - Enermax T.B.SILENCE - they are 900 rpm and 11 dba - 8 euros
Noiseblocker BlackSilent Fan XL1 Fan - 1000rpm - 8 euros
if you need more pressure and flow
Noiseblocker BlackSilent XLP Fan - 1000/2000 rpm,- 9 euros
Noiseblocker BlackSilent Pro Fan PL2 - 1400 rpm, - 11 euros
Here you have the Corsair SP120 High Static Pressure LED Fan - at 13 euros in the color you want
Corsair SP120 - Blue LED (Pack of 2 units) - 23 euros
it's not worth it to get cheaper ones

Good evening,
Well, I have more or less decided on the topic… the truth is... I had no idea there was so much variety.
For now, I will get the Corsair Air Series AF120 Low Noise pack of 2 (31 €), no leds, after all this box is sober and I don't like the whole light show thing.
As I also need to get a switch and a cooling pad for a laptop that I have as a download server (the "heat" is coming), I am planning on 60 € and that's 4 things.... if I see that in summer the temperature thing gets crazy then I will order more.
Thanks for your input ferelxyx and Silver, it has been a pleasure to read you. -
If you want quality, the best fans today are the EK vardar, you already value the rpm, normally the F3 are the most demanded given their balance in fpm/db/pressure/flow.
If you don't want to worry about it, Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition, or its version SP120HP, more flow pressure and more noise. You have more options like Noiseblocker B12-2 or its superior versions 3-4 O PL-SL.
Thermaltake has recently released other fans intended for radiators with quite good pressure for their 1500 rpm, I can't remember the name now...
It's up to you how much you want to spend and the balance between db/pressure/cost XD.
Best regards.
