Problem ECS P4M890T-M2 RAM size
-
Good afternoon,
I have a problem with the amount of RAM installed on a computer with a motherboard
P4M890T-M2, I have put 4gb ddr2 at 667 and it only detects 2560MB in bios, does anyone know why?
The motherboard supports 4GB, will it be because the memory is at 667? This motherboard supports DDR2 at 400 533 but not at 667, could it be because of that?
Thanks

Check if there is an option in the BIOS called Memory Remap or something like that. If you find it, enable it.

4 GB in one module or in two? in one module the board does not read it, and if it is in two and does not recognize them, update the bios, but first try with the Memory Remap

thanks for the answers, I've been looking in the BIOS and it doesn't have the option of Memory Remap or anything similar, the modules are 2x 2gb, it's all been since updating the BIOS to the latest version:( I updated it because I had compatibility problems with PCI express cards. If I could go back to the previous BIOS :$$ I didn't make a copy of the rom
