CUInfo and the uproar it has caused
-
I suppose many of you have already read something about this little utility, but for those who don't know what it's about, it's a small application that allows us to know the CU disabled in our AMD graphics (Hawaii, Tonga and Fiji), and when they are deactivated by firmware, the possibility of trying to take advantage of them.

That reminds me of the good old days of 97000NP turning PRO for 1/3 of the price

The utility they refer to is good for knowing the type of graphics memory: -
That said, you have to be careful because many attempts can lead to the surprise that completely damaged CUs are enabled. The trick is supposedly in the place they occupy in each "engine" and if they are the last ones disabled, it is assumed that they are good and that they have been disabled to create products like the Fury, etc. But beware, while it is a good indication of defective CUs that the disabled ones are in the middle of an "engine" (battery of CUs that work in the same block), there is also the possibility that we enable some of the last ones blocked and that they are also defective. So it's better to have a spare BIOS, dual BIOS is better than better.
