I just saw it and I need one for home use, not games and other things, I don't know if it's too expensive or if it's okay, what do you think.
Asus p5ld2 motherboard, with socket 775 and pentium D 3.4 ghz, 1 gb ddr2, 40 gb disk, nvidia gforce 7300 gs, 500 w power supply, dvd, and everything already assembled.
For 130 euros, is it expensive or cheap

I don't see much RAM for practically any decent operating system, and if you were thinking of putting Windows 7 on it, don't even try.

On the other hand, the hard drive is going to run out of space very quickly, I think you can find some more interesting option for 150 or 200€, where the improvement is substantial... or directly build a new one from the low end with better performance and a nice warranty, this last detail is why I would leave more than 100€.

Caro, for that price you should be able to buy one with Core 2 Duo that beats it by several rounds and with more disk and RAM.

For example for 104€ + VAT and with warranty:

but the pentium D is also dual core, that is, it has two processors, just like the core 2 duo, it's the same, right? Maybe the core 2 duo has more bus, and cache memory but new would come out more expensive, and it's clear that for me it also seems a bit expensive, especially for the little disk and memory. But with that processor for me it's more than enough, let's see if I can get a good deal on a hard drive and that's it

They also have two cores, an i3 and some i5 at least of the first generation, and they do not perform similarly to the Pentium D. To give you an idea, these are the scores according to the website of Passmark:

              Intel Pentium E5200 @ 2.50GHz > 1496
              Intel Pentium D 950 @ 3.40GHz > 751

And if we look on Intel's website, we find that the TDP of the Pentium D is 130w and that of the E5200 is 65w (the Pentium D is good for winter, it gives off a little heat, more than the most powerful i7 of today).

In summary, the E5200 performs twice as well and consumes half.

I've given away better computers, because for me they weren't worth much, and to get a few euros out of them I would give them away, well, to friends without work, to people who could use the parts, etc.

I would value a computer like this at just under half of 130€. If you take a look around second-hand shops for 130 even you have Dual Core laptops that are pretty good and run Windows 7 well. That CPU isn't worth 50€ to me.

The Pentium "D" were very shoddy micros that sometimes performed less than an equivalent AMD Single Core. Then Intel released the "Dual Core" and AMD's hegemony ended, but the Pentium D you mention is a very bad micro today. If on top of that it only has one Giga of RAM... well, Windows XP will manage, but anything else you want to do, be patient.

The computer that Yorus indicates is more than enough for basic office work, even for watching videos in high quality on YouTube, MKV movies, etc. As you can see it's around 100€ and it's not even comparable to the one you indicate. Yorus has compared the two micros, in power they are like night and day, so my recommendation: don't pay 130 for a computer that isn't worth 50.
