Bios (does not recognize anything)
-
Hello everyone;
You see, I have a medion akoya mini laptop, it came with windows 8 pre-installed.
Well, after uninstalling it and installing several operating systems on several partitions, such as backtrack, wifislax, windows 7, etc. etc., the grub got messed up or so it seems, so I tried to reinstall windows 7, but it wouldn't let me, not even with the factory recovery disk.That is, it has never failed me, but now I think it's something hardware-related, because when I enter the bios it doesn't recognize the hard drive or the usb.
This laptop doesn't have a dvd, I installed the other systems using a bootable usb or the external dvd connected via usb.
and now it doesn't recognize anything, neither usb nor hard drive.
I have formatted the entire hard drive from another computer, and it works fine, checked the battery, cleaned the board, but nothing, there's no way it will recognize a usb or the hard drive, I even inserted an sd card,
what could it be or what can I do, I'm running out of ideas.
if it doesn't recognize the disk, it's useless to try installing operating systems from other computers, and if the usb doesn't work even though it's active in the bios (usb legacy enable), how do I fix it,... is it possible that the bios is broken? is there any way to fix this?
pd: The thing is that it's almost out of warranty, but I'm not sure if they will repair it if I had formatted the hard drive, besides having opened it, although I'm not worried about the latter, I didn't break anything, no labels or anything, I was very careful, but of course... what can I say?
pd2: I also tried copying the entire factory recovery disk to the hard drive in case I got something, but of course, as I said, it doesn't recognize the disk and this one works perfectly, I guess it's the bios, or I don't know, I don't know if there's another possible explanation

While under warranty, I would try to leave the hard drive as it was when you bought it, either in the same machine or another, and send it in for repair.
Going further, like checking if there is a new version of BIOS and flashing it, could invalidate your warranty.Edit: It would help to know which of the more than 40 Akoya models is yours.
