Corsair TX650W sufficient for Sli GTX 670?
-
Hello everyone. I have this power supply that cost me €100.
I have a GTX 670 installed and my question is if the power supply would hold up to adding another GTX 670 in Sli. The Corsair TX650W power supply is this one in particular: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/tx650w
Mention that the power supply only has one 12v rail but with an amperage of 52 amps, quite high.
Do you think it will be enough for the Sli gtx 670 or should I buy a new one with more watts? This would be the complete pc: I5 4670K @ 4000 mhz Haswell (tdp is 84 w)
Asus Maximus VI Formula
4x2 = 8 gb DDR3 1866 mhz
Sli GTX 670 msi reference
3 Sata II 7200 rpm Seagate drives
3 Fan 120mm It does not have a DVD burner, I do not use it anymore, nor do I burn discs. Thanks and regards. :wall: -
nVIDIA recommends a 500W power supply for a GTX670, and sets its power consumption at 170W, so it sounds like it would be too low, but it would probably work.
I would go with a 750-800W one, as recommended to someone else who asked the same thing on Tweaktown.com
Salu2!

It will work but just… it's about testing it and stressing the team to see how much it can handle.
