I'm looking for a PC for calculations
-
Hello, I'm looking for an Intel PC (i7) to perform mathematical calculations. I have a program made in.NET that does combinations with a genetic algorithm and I want to build a tower for that purpose.
In principle, what I need is a motherboard, micro, and ram.
I'm going to assemble it piece by piece on one of the many websites that exist in Spain... and the doubts are: which micro should I put an i7 of the 6th generation? any specific one?
I have more than enough DDR4 ram with 16gb.. but I don't know if I should get 2 banks of 8gb and I can always expand... or go all out and get 32gb...
Regarding the motherboard, I've always had ASUS or Gygabyte and I've always been happy with them. What's missing is a case and a power supply. As I said, I don't need a graphics card if the motherboard has one integrated, better that better.. otherwise, the cheapest one I can find.
After that, I'm looking for a case in "slim" format since I want to put it in a cabinet under the TV and I only have 13cm of height... the slim ones I've seen have a height of 11cm but are for mini ITX or mini ATX motherboards.
The budget I have is around 800-1000€I look forward to your comments/suggestions.
Thanks
