Gigabit Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx
-
Hello, I was wondering if you could help me with this.
I have an old Intel Precision 380 that I use as a media server and backup. It has a Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit network card installed that, according to Dell's specifications (and as its name suggests), can work at 1Gb, but the fact is that it works at 100Mb. I have checked the hardware configuration of the card but there is no option to force it to 1Gb, it only allows 100Mb or 10Mb. The driver is the one that comes with the computer. Could it be a faulty card? Am I missing something?
Thank you very much.

Check the cable (8 wires OK), and the card connector, you might have too much dust accumulated
