PLC recommendation for gigabit network
-
Hello again. I came with another question, to see what you can recommend to me.
I have fiber optic installed at home with a 300Mb speed. I have verified the speed on the router and it reaches the contracted speed, but if I check it on my desktop computer it does not reach 100Mb. I have this computer connected to the router via a PLC (or home plug network): TP-Link TL-PA4010PT Kit. According to its specifications this PLC can reach 500Mb, but as it has a 100Mb ethernet port I suppose it makes a beautiful bottleneck to the gigabit network that I could set up between the router and my computer.
I imagine that the problem would be solved if I set up a PLC that supports gigabit transfers, and here comes my question:
This one has a gigabit port: TP-LINK TL-PA7020P Powerline 1000Mbps AC/P - Red Home Plug
But this one goes to 1200Mb: TP-Link PA8030PKIT Powerline AV1200 - Red Home Plug
Is there really any advantage in the second one if my network is a gigabit network?
Do you think that if I buy one of these two PLCs I would already have a gigabit network at home without any problems??Thank you very much, as always.

I have the first one you posted and, to be honest, it works pretty well, and that's because it's a duplex apartment and the connection goes from one floor to another. It gives a transfer of around 300 mbps. Oscillating slightly up and down from this figure. They have two network sockets, which is more versatile and, despite having power strips plugged in with quite a few things, it doesn't seem to affect its speed too much.
Best regards.
