Icons do not appear on the Windows 10 desktop

It has already happened to me twice after installing windows 10
The icons do not appear, the letters do, and down in the taskbar the said icons do not appear either.
I have tried to restore the system, repair icons, show icons on the desktop, change their size and nothing at all.
Any solution? thanks

Is it a clean install? Have you redownloaded the Windows 10 image in case any library is corrupt?

With Windows 10 the question will surely be asked, but are you sure the system is completely updated?

Has that happened to you from the beginning or did it work well before? If it worked well before, do you remember if you changed something?

Do you have all the drivers (all of them, not just the graphics) updated?

clean install and installed in less than two months with two different versions of w10

for cobito:
system updated, last month in the first clean install in 4 days that problem appeared, in this second clean install it has taken about 20-25 days, the drivers totally updated, I have not installed anything strange in this last week, the only thing is an update of the Avast antivirus.

no, I do not have any theme installed, the one that comes by default but I have only changed the wallpaper

I have tried to use the system restore option but it gives me an error because of an avast update. I do not know if the problem comes from there, I am going to try to uninstall the antivirus completely. It is crazy but you have to try everything

With that data, I would suggest running a Memtest. But first, you can try booting with only one memory module (if you have several) and testing in the different slots. Among all the possibilities, it is likely a failure of the RAM or the graphics memory.

Get in touch with Microsoft… it is possible that your computer is not 100% compatible or there is some kind of hardware problem like the one Cobito indicated with the RAM.
