Hello fellow forum members, I'm telling you, I've got myself an Xbox One Elite controller to play both shooters and other platforms on PC, it's an amazing controller, it costs a fortune but in my opinion I think it was worth it.
The thing is, I've always been a keyboard and mouse guy, the thing is that I don't have space in my living room, I have the 32hd TV on a table and I don't have space for it, so to place a gaming keyboard and a mouse I would have to look for a separate table and place it in front of the TV and take up the little space I have left, besides I'm not very into having to plug the keyboard and mouse cables into the computer every time I want to play.
I think I'm well off with this controller, the thing is to get used to it I suppose on all platforms.
How do you see it?
Regards and congratulations on the forum.

I imagine that everything is about getting used to it and that it is something very personal. I know people who are used to keyboard and mouse who have then gotten the hang of the pad, although I have the impression that it is less precise and slower in reactions. On the other hand, FPS games have improved a lot in terms of control with a pad, because years ago it was a very PC genre, but now it also dominates on consoles.
Let's see what the gaming buddies say, because my last serious FPS was Unreal Tournament 2004...

I am a keyboard and mouse person, I am comfortable on the desktop.
The only game that has asked for a controller in a loud voice has been Sleeping Dogs but, I have started The Witcher 3 with a controller and I have caught on to it. I played the first one by emulating a PS3 controller, the last one with the One that came with the Oculus.
Aside from PS VS MS preferences: After years with PS, MS is a bit more ergonomic but I don't find the position of the upper triggers comfortable, nor is it a sin if it's a casual button. Now I work wirelessly and I forget about compatibility programs but, I wouldn't have bought it, the cable with PS3 didn't bother me and neither did emulating.
P.D.: If you are on the couch there are gaming gadgets to put a module on top like a small table for keyboard + mouse. The one I saw wasn't cheap (well-known brand that I can't remember, sorry) but maybe they have come out with more affordable copies or you can get your DIY skills out and make something at a good price :ugly:
