Asrock Z87 Extreme4 problems
-
Good morning!!
Well, as I have already said on Telegram, 2 days ago I swapped processors, the i3 for the i7 to make the mac more powerful, and it turned out that I connected the hard drive to the asrock (the one from the mac) and it booted without problems, after doing this I put everything back to normal, and the Asrock does not boot (electricity does arrive) but the display and such do nothing.
-> I HAVE PRACTICALLY DONE EVERYTHING:
- Checked the pins (if I bent any) –> Nothing
- If any capacitor or something --> Nothing
- Apparently physically the board is fine.
-> I THINK it is due to some static but it is not certain.
If we are going to repair it, etc... because for me the 4770K on the B85, is honestly a crime, I have thought about several motherboards:
- 100-110€ -> Gigabyte Z97X-GAMING 3 (it has the M.2 I think, but less SATA)
- 120€ –> Asrock Z97 Extreme 4 (practically the same renewing chipset and adding M.2 and 2 USB 3.0)
- 100-105€ –> Gigabyte Z97-HD3 (I see it as weak in power phases)
What do you think?
I have read slight problems with the Asrock but they date back a few years –> 2014-2015 and I imagine they will have been more than resolved, there were also some with mine at the beginning but of course now being a veteran model I don't know.
What would accompany the PC:
-> GTX560 TI
-> Corsair TX750W
-> Intel i7 4770K
-> Thermaltake NIC F4
-> 2x4GB DDR3 GSKILL RIPJAWS Z 2400 + 2x8GB DDR3 GSKILL TRIDENT X 2400
-> SSD Samsung 850 EVO 250, and maybe in the future an 850 PROThanks!

Let's see if it's not a matter of the motherboard, but rather the graphics card or the power supply that are causing the problem.

I have tested both sources, and it does the same thing, and the graphics are from the processor, which is currently on the B85-M D3H and works correctly.

The Z97 has already arrived, and you should have seen me assembling it xD I only had one failure and that was the direction of the fans of the NIC F4, which I will change these days. For now everything is perfect, let's see when I push it to see how it behaves. It ended up looking like this: Cooler Master CM690 (I want to change it…) Corsair TX750W Asrock Z97 Extreme 4 (updated to BIOS 2.50) Intel Core i7 4770K 3'5Ghz Thermaltake Nic F4 2x4GB DDR3 2400 Gskill Ripjaws Z + 2x8GB DDR3 2400 Gskill TridentX Samsung SSD 250GB 850EVO -
well you will tell us
