When I read the ArsTechnica article, I was flabbergasted.
Why earn XP when you can buy it? Deus Ex goes wild with microtransactions.Basically, the link to that free translation, worthy of the sign language translator at Mandela's funeral, exposes a series of DLCs for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided whose influence on the game is to increase money, experience, augmentation points…
Seriously, not even missions, not even corrections... just objects and aids to complete the game.Let's see, why is this happening?, have they done a study on the intellectual maturity of players that justifies it?, are they so bad off economically that it forces them to the "bad is to ask, but worse is to steal"?
Okay, I can see the sense in this in an MMO, because well, there are people who like to stand out and their psychomotor skills prevent them, and they have no choice but to reach for their wallet, buy the biggest blunderbuss and go out dressed as a matador to dish out their pleasure... is DX:MD multiplayer?
I don't know, someone enlighten me if I'm wrong but, wasn't this done before with codes or trainers?, has Cheat Engine become so complicated that it's better to pay for having a certain object?
Let's see if any of you point out something I've missed, because I'm about to move Eidos to a subfolder next to the crappy deals on Wallapop.

Things are getting worse :ffu:Alright, it's understandable, they're a company and they want to make money. I don't know, I'm with The Witcher 3 and it's a blast in many ways but, I'm starting to get annoyed that they tell you where to go at every moment. I'd rather have 10% of the map and not have everything marked for me but well, cest la vie. At least let them choose less help ¬¬

I already passed the game, and I have to say that it's something extra completely outside the game, like buying a skin for the character you can buy credits. It's a shame that no one buys it but you know that with RPGs there's always some lazy person who might need it.

I have never seen the point in buying aids for a game, not even for an MMO. The point is to get things through your own means or as far as you can get, and if as you say it's not online then there must be some trick, or follow a guide where you get attacked.
