HBM3, better and cheaper.

It seems that, now that future GPUs with HBM2 memory are already in the pre-distribution phases, this article comes out in which it is commented that the next generation of HBM memories will double the performance of the previous range, and will have lower production costs.
!

When will we see that wonder in our homes? In the case of nVidia, as always late, badly and never. Before we must go through the previous stages of the market, those small improvements to existing technologies that serve to despair some, and help others cash in.
This is, that we will have to deal with the "brand new" GDDR6, successor to the GDDR5X of the current 1080 before seeing an nVidia GPU mounting HBM3 memory.
With respect to AMD, it may be sooner, since the next generation of graphics already mounts HBM2 memories. In any case, as the software market is going lately, its little polishing and anecdotal optimization, there is not much hurry, right? :troll:

Man, currently the only "graphics" card that mounts HBM2 is an nVidia, the Tesla P100. Until AMD's Vega arrives, it may be almost a year.
