Well yes, looking for something half interesting to bring here, I came across a small application called Dsim++, which is an OS optimizer.
Another one? Well, apart from Norton Crash Guard or Remove It, maybe SpeedBuster, these programs have never caught my attention, perhaps because they eventually ended up doing more harm than good.
With Dsim++ we start with the advantage that it is portable, does not need installation, and has a Spartan and understandable interface (if we know English, of course).
Anque the page is in Chinese, the program in any of its 32 or 64 bit variants, I say it is in decent English.
If you want to give it a try, here I leave it. It supports Windows Vista / 7/ 8/ 8.1/ 10 -
I'll try it tomorrow on a work PC that keeps scratching the hd.
