Problems with 5.1 Digital and LG TVs (2015, 2016).

Well, that's it, at home (before I buy the Z906 or can get my hands on them) we have a low-end BELSON HOME CINEMA, which has always worked well for what it is. It is the model where the speakers are tower-type and the decoder is integrated into the Subwoofer (Dolby Digital, Prologic I and II) specifically BELSON BSA-4807A. With RCA, Optica and Coaxial inputs. The thing is that until now it has been connected by the optica input for 5.1 issues, directly from the TV, so that all sound came out from there (LG 32LC56 TV from 2007).
Well now, in these dates, I decided to buy my parents a 4K TV (LG 49UH610V), and I have connected it the same way as the previous one, but I don't get any sound! I don't understand why. At first, I thought it could be a problem with the TV and that the OPTICA output of the same would not work correctly, but I went to connect my TV (LG 42LF652V) and I get the same result. And with the old one there are no problems.
Can anyone tell me what it may be due to?
Thanks and greetings in advance, and if the two your system is WebOS 2.0 and 3.0 respectively.

The typical issue in these cases is an incompatibility of audio formats. Check if the new TV has any option to output audio in a specific format (e.g. AC3). I don't know much about TVs, but this sometimes happens with Raspberry PI and digital audio output; in the case of Kodi, there is an option to convert all audio to AC3.

Issue solved, it was the cable in the end, but here comes my doubt, I tried with a cable that came with an LG sound bar, and without problems both the speakers and the bar worked. my question is do I need a standard SPDIF optical cable, or better that it is marked as TOSLINK?. The connector I think is the same, but I wanted to make sure.
Thanks!
