      Hello!

Due to problems with my larger capacity pendrive, I am thinking about getting something decent, since this Lexar that I use is made of plastic and sometimes the connection fails, and to make matters worse, the writing speed is slow.

I am looking for a 3.0, not too big but not nano-type, with good performance and 64 or 128Gb.

I have seen things from Sandisk, but I would like you to recommend based on your experiences.

      Thank you.

I answer myself. At the moment, the best I have found are the Sandisk Extreme. I think it's a bit big but I think it's worth it as a "main" pen drive: Sandisk Extreme 128Gb It seems a bit expensive to me, but for the capacity and quality, it's not bad. What has caught my attention is that they say it behaves more like an SSD than a normal pen drive, which allows you to make partitions. Would it be possible to have an NTFS partition and another EXT4? That way I could keep the most important files visible only to Linux (whoever wants to see them will have to work for it). And having the two partitions, I don't know how it would behave when plugged directly into a TV, which is the reason why I'm looking for capacity.

I have always had cheap pendrives until a couple of years ago I was given a 64 gb one. I made an 8 gb partition in fat32 and with the rest I created an encrypted partition in ext4. When I connect it to the PC, both partitions appear, but when I do it on another device, only the fat32 one comes out. I think this can be done with any pendrive, but I suppose it only makes sense if you have extra gigas.

I don't spend all day fighting with mega files like the forum members who work with images, but I can tell you that I have a 64GB Sandisk Extreme and it's a bullet, although as you say it's quite big. I recommend that you check it out on sites like Amazon to get a flash sale, and it won't hurt you as much.

Another stick that has worked well for me is a Kingston DTM30 64GB (USB 3.0), which I have given quite a lot of work and it is still going strong, although it is not as fast as the Extreme.

            Cheers!
