Duda connectivity pci-e card asus
-
Hello everyone.
My family has given me a PCE-AC56 card for Christmas.
The thing is that I have installed it on the computer (on Windows 10) and it detects and connects perfectly to the WIFI signal of my Asus router.
My doubt comes from the fact that the mobile does not detect the WIFI signal of the computer. My intention was to use the card to connect the mobile to the computer. Can this be done?
On the other hand, how could I use this WIFI card as a repeater of the router's signal?
Thanks in advance for the help.

From what I read on their website, it's a card to connect to a router and that's it.
The other things you say you want to do are done better by devices (WiFi repeaters) that are sold for that purpose.
What you say isn't impossible, because you can set up a router with a PC and a WiFi card, but that card being able to be a client of a WiFi router and at the same time be a Hotspot, I don't think it can.
But let's see what the WiFi experts say.
Regards!

As far as I know, you can use a computer's wifi connection for others to connect to it, but the computer must be connected via Ethernet or another wifi adapter.
I don't see it as very practical with dedicated devices available, as Fassou says.

I guess I didn't explain myself very well.
My computer connects to it via Ethernet cable. But I was given the card and I wanted to connect the mobile to the PC via wifi, just like you connect a printer or another type of device.
The idea of using it as a repeater was out of curiosity. -
