New helmets.. which ones?
-
Hello. I'm looking for new headsets!
I want them for gaming, NOT for listening to music, with surround sound so I can enjoy shooter games (hear the footsteps of someone approaching me from behind, the shots coming from where they are, etc.) that's why I was NOT interested in stereo headphones at first, because they don't have surround sound even if the quality is better
BUT reading other posts, everyone says that good stereo headphones + "something" that transforms them into surround sound is better... even if it means buying another audio card separately, now I'm relying on the integrated one on the motherboard and I don't know if it will be enough: https://www.asus.com/es/Motherboards/P6T/
I've also read this in a forum "better stereo headphones with razer drivers, to emulate the sound and get the "surround".... I've searched and this comes up. https://www.razerzone.com/es-es/surround.. so.. why do I need a new sound card.... right?
Comfort, design, color, mic I don't care Open or closed I don't care... if I have to choose closed ones first so I isolate myself from everything
From what I've read around recommended:
Hercules Headphones HDP DJ M 40.1
Audio-Technica ATH-M50 X MG
Kingston HyperX Cloud I + Sound blaster z? another?
Kingston HyperX Cloud II (better than the 1?)
And these what? Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolver Pro Gaming
Superlux HD668B
Somic MH463
Has anyone said anything about SENNHEISER HD-598?Perhaps the Kingston HyperX Cloud II would be my first choice, I say this because I've read in many places that they recommend them... besides they are also 7.1
Although HyperX Cloud I or Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolver + Sounb blaster Z seems better... I guess the revolver is better
Opinions?

Superlux + Zalman micro neckband is the best looking for price but, if you can afford the Kingston, you get a more comfortable headset. Between 1 or 2 I couldn't tell you. What I can tell you is that the circumaurals seem to me a bit trashy in positioning and lacking quality for the dough they cost.
If you don't have a current sound card or you go for a headset with high impedance, get a Xonar DG/X. Audio-Technica and Beyer Dynamic have very interesting things but, I couldn't tell you the best model for gaming.
I would forget about razer drivers and trash. At most equalize to hear the steps more in FPS, depending on the game.

My budget is around 250 eur.
Comfort doesn't matter to me. I play max 2h daily. Superlux or Kingston in terms of sound quality and positioning?
Between the Kingston 1 and the Kingston revolver?
For the sound Xonar DG/X better a Sound blaster z no? -
I wouldn't know which ones would give you the best positioning, but with that budget, I would look at some Beyer Dynamic ones around 100€ + the Xonar, it's enough. The Zalman b mic with the bridged cable works pretty well.

Ok thanks!
