Almost a year after the announcement, the final specifications have been published. The maximum resolution will not be 8K as initially stated, but 10K. Depending on whether the data is compressed or not, the frame rate varies quite a bit.

Without compression at 10 bits, 4K can reach 171fps while 10K will go to 24fps. With 1:3 DSC compression, 4K could reach 512 frames per second while 10K would reach 72 also at 10 bits.

For gamers, there is also improved image latency, and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) is added, which does what GSync and Freesync and company do.
