Do I renew the team or just the graphics?
-
Hello guys, I've been waiting a long time for the graphics cards to go down in price after buying a 1060 from a friend for 289 (6GB version), but I see that they only go up. So the case is that I have to retire the 560TI 1GB (that gigabyte kills it) and should make the jump to something more in line with my old 4770K.
So, considering options, I've been looking and I've seen:
MSI GTX 1080 Armor for 539€ (If there are any left on Monday... I'll think about it).
But I've also thought about making the jump to Intel 8700K with Gigabyte (I'll do hackintosh). And the joke would cost me:
1400-1500€
- i7 8700K 3'7 6n (12h)
- Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 5
- 2x8GB DDR4 GSKILL 3000/3200mhz
- Cooler Master TX412S
- Corsair 850RM
- MSI GTX1080 ARMOR 8GB
What do you think? I would put it together little by little...

Personally, I would only add a new graphics card; that 4770K can handle the 1080 even with the Ti.
That said, that Mars Gaming, change it at the same time for a decent one. -
For now I'm shooting, the moment I buy the power supply for the i7, I'll put the Corsair TX750 in the i3, to which I'll also transfer the GTX560Ti if it's compatible

The rumor mill is waiting for nVIDIA to release a new generation of their graphics cards, although they are still releasing the Ti versions of some to combat the impact of the "custom" Vega.
In March we will know the truth, among other things the real performance of the APUs attached to the Ryzen, and perhaps of the new Ryzen2, but it is very difficult to resist the discounts of certain stores

-
So for now I'm changing the source, and as soon as the new batch comes out I'll switch to the 2xxx series from nvidia not @Fassou ^_^ that the 2060 should be similar to the 1080 xD if they don't make a refrito. -
If the new generation is going to blow up big time, but don't rule out that it will be delayed because they keep releasing express products, like now a GTX1050 Q-Max
Save up to have the piggy bank ready, and pray that the new product is not one of those "we'll fix it in the next hardware revision"
Best regards!

Or get a GTX1060 that will always be good for the i3, right? -
@hayo Pozí. :ok_hand_tone3:

Your team will move you well a 1080 although, since you have stretched it like hell, I would wait for Volta.
What a scare, my source blew up and my team wouldn't start with the new one until I mounted the board outside and it worked... Short with case today
