Duda ryzen 5 2600
-
Hello,
I am planning to upgrade my PC to the following components:
8GB (2x4GB) Ballistix Elite DDR4-3200 CL16 RAM
I would like to know your opinion and how to update the motherboard's BIOS to support the Ryzen 5 2600

@lukiuhh First of all, welcome to the forum.
Starting from the end, there are stores where they update the BIOS for free when you buy the board and others where this service is charged extra. It is also possible to do it yourself by requesting the boot package from AMD.
Regarding the motherboard, and needing to overclock the micro, I would not choose one with phases without dissipating like that. My suggestion is an Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming.
The memories, today 8 GB are getting very short; minimum 16 GB, and being for AMD, B-die chip much better, such as the G.Skill F4-3200C14D-16GVK or some Corsair Vengeance (CMR16GX4M2C3466C16).
Another very important detail (pending to know what graphics card you are going to install) is the power supply, almost always chosen by the watts instead of by the efficiency and quality.
For that configuration, minimum an FSP Hyper S 600W; recommended an EVGA 650W GQ 80+ Gold.
