PC Gamer to play at 2K/Ultra/ +100 FPS 2,000€
-
Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. First of all, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you've had a great time in good company!
Once again, I want to thank you for your help in my previous posts. This will be the third build according to my needs, thanks to you

This time I can finally say that it will be a computer for me, and I hope it lasts for many years. After a long time of wanting one in good condition and saving up, I don't want to repeat my past mistakes, and end up with a tower on the counter...
My current wish is to be able to play at least almost all games on Ultra with 2K resolution running at 100 FPS according to the performance of the monitor intended for this, supposedly the “Asus PG348Q 34" WLED UWQHD”Here I leave the specifications of the equipment indicated below:
https://www.pccomponentes.com/lista-de-deseos/Ri6vlnSYyoW7k3

And here are the alternatives:
https://www.pccomponentes.com/lista-de-deseos/4OEmPIwKEzpfLu

Tell me if this configuration is cost-effective in terms of quality-price basically to play almost everything at ultra in 2K/100fps quality without going to 4k.. I have some doubts about the motherboard and RAM, graphics card, etc. I'll tell you about them now, as I don't know if they will be good for me or if there are better ones for the same budget or a little less.
My main doubts are as follows:
•\tRAM:
o\tMy first option was the “G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 4000 PC4-32000 16GB 2x8GB CL17 335€” but as it is not available I was going to choose one between these two
(which do you recommend, I would choose the cheaper one but I don't know if it will be enough for what I want?):
o\tG.Skill Trident Z DDR4 4400Mhz PC4-35200 16GB 2x8GB CL19 330€.
o\tG.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3200 PC4-25600 16GB 2x8GB CL14 239€.
•\tGraphics card: I'm between this “Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 WindForce 8G 8GB GDDR6 539,90€” which is the cheapest in the series (RTX 2070 and 1080 ti), and the following “Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8GB GDDR5 375,90€” which seems good and cheap but I don't know if it can reach 2K in ultra without slowdowns.
•\tCase: I chose the Corsair Carbide Clear 400C White with Window 99,99€, for the capacity it provides in space, comfort, cooling, etc.., and I leave two alternatives for you to tell me if they are worth it as they offer better aesthetics, Nox Hummer TGX Rainbow RGB 3.0 USB Cristal Templado LED Black 99,99€ and Phanteks Eclipse P400S Cristal Templado USB 3.0 White 91€.
•\tMotherboards: here I chose the “Asus Rog Maximus XI Hero Wifi 349,90€”, for the quality of sound it provides, boost of the M.2 SSD., cooling, etc…
o\tAnd these I leave here in case they are better, for you to tell me, “MSI Meg Z390 Ace 294,90€”, and “Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master 299,90€”. (according to some Benchmarks they recommend them, and I don't know why).
Of the rest of the components that I don't name, I have no doubts, because I studied them thoroughly, and I don't see better options for the moment, although I would be willing to hear from you, other better alternatives if that's the case.
The use that will be given to the PC:
This is the model of PC that I need, a long-lasting Gamer computer trying to reach 100 fps at 2K quality in ultra if possible (I don't ask for more fps since the monitor I chose only goes up to 100fps at maximum, although as most people say, the new ultra panoramic panels of 34 immerse much more in video games than getting 144 fps or more.)
Approximate desired price:
I would set a limit of 2000€, although I wouldn't cut so much if necessary to achieve that quality.
I will wait for your opinion and help to achieve my goal without wasting more money as usually happens.
Thank you for everything!
Best regards!

@fassou Hi, I just saw the offer, thinking it was a complete team
, but I realized it wasn't
, the graphics reach a stratospheric price, I haven't gone that crazy yet to buy that!!
Besides, here we don't pay VAT, via pccomponentes and amazon, and that's why I chose one of those 2, that being said, I would like you to clear up my doubts @Fassou when you have time please, regards! And happy new year!!!

I really don't dare to advise you anything, because you play in another league and it would hurt me to spend so much money...
I will just say that I would wait for the Ryzen 3000, I would avoid the WD Blue, and if you want an 850W power supply, I would opt for the Seasonic Focus + that you have for 129€ or better the Platinum version that is at 149€.
Regards! and Happy New Year!

So at first glance, I think you have the money very poorly distributed, let me explain.
With that 4k and 100hz monitor, buy a 1080ti / 2080 / 2080ti YES or YES.
I understand that it is VERY EXPENSIVE, but you spend money on stupid things, for example.Motherboard: Any of 150-200€ maximum meets you more than enough.
SSD: One of 512 and even without nvme, it is not noticeable in the real world (not in benchmarks)
Power supply: A good one of 600W meets you more than enough for a MONO-GPU computer, about 70-80€And with what you have saved, you buy the 2080, and you have a much more usable computer left.
I don't go into the monitor, I am not up to date, but even so, I think it's a waste to spend 1000€ on it. I am satisfied with 144hz and VA panel.

I also agree that you waste where you shouldn't, and equally save where you shouldn't. The source to start with, spending more than 100€ on something made by CWT I see as a waste, just like a 1TB NvMe M.2 (what?) or putting in a 1TB HDD alone (and from WD's Blue series for more inri); or that Thermaltake AIO of 190€ (amos and lords of the plastic and flea market fashion aspects). Go for a high-end air cooler, like a D15, or a Dark Rock Pro 4; or (if it's a whim) a more serious manufacturer, like NZXT, Lepa, EVGA or Corsair. You leave aside putting a 1080Ti in favor of a 2070 (I didn't even want to read about the 1070), or you prefer a 350€ card and 16GB of RAM, instead of putting 32GB of RAM to build a RAMDisk/RAMCache... apart from that I see that processor as a waste even for a "jarcor gamer". I would go for AM4 and a 2600X or, as you suggest, wait for AMD's new 3000s. You must prioritize what you want: either a machine for 2K in ultra for more than 100 FPS, or one with lights. In any case, let's remember that we are not living the heyday of optimized games, and that a simple filter can kill your experience. -
Hello!
I agree, to play decently the first thing you should look for is "balance" between components and the second is "good graphics (in proportion to the equipment)".An 1080TI, or some RTX2080/TI... I wouldn't go below that thinking about building a "big PC for gaming". Then I would balance the motherboard, memory, processor, SSD, etc.
For example, I prefer a "normal" SSD over an NVME if with the savings I can invest in a GPU, for example. From personal experience I can tell you that you don't notice a substantial change in performance but you do in your wallet. It's true that in raw performance maybe Intel has a little more punch... but the price difference doesn't justify that little extra performance.
I have a 2600X, it works great for me although maybe I'm less demanding. But if you want you can put a 2700X and within a reasonable time you could upgrade to a Ryzen 3000... Anyway, even if you opt for Intel I insist that you invest in a GPU and don't spend a fortune on a mega monitor when there are many excellent monitors for less money (or are you a monitor perfectionist?).Best regards and you'll let us know!
