Another vulnerability in Intel CPUs
-
This is called Plundervolt and it involves causing failures in the AES repertoire within SGX. Until now, SGX was the most secure area of the processor because it is where AES encryption keys are stored. The attack is carried out by lowering the voltage of the micro to the point where errors start to appear and somehow, the data is extracted. -
this time the mitigation will be not to allow lowering the voltage. A great day for laptop users with intel processor which are basically almost all decent laptops.

Come on, don't mess with me. This is already a bit of a joke. -
This vulnerability affects :
6th Generation Core 7th Generation Core 8th Generation Core 9th Generation Core 10th Generation Core Xeon E3 V5 Xeon E3 V6 Xeon E-2100 Xeon E-2200And for now it seems almost impossible to exploit it remotely.
Salu2!
