More than just another rant from Linus at someone who has apparently made a wrong analysis of the performance of the task scheduler, the thread on the mailing list is interesting because of the pedagogical tone of the creator of the free system.

I thought that the creator of the free system was RMS, but I don't know, everyone has an opinion and says what they want, even if the facts contradict it.

@Gallina I suppose you mean GNU/Linux. Stallman has given it the free software cover, but the technical person behind the development is Torvalds. As far as I know, RMS has never contributed code to the kernel. One is the philosopher and the other is the technician. What is more important in Linux is already a personal matter for each one.
