I can't find a driver for the DNI USB reader on Xubuntu
-
Hello. I am not entirely new to linux as I have used some distros for 15 years. However, the little I learned to use the terminal has completely gone and I have now moved from w10, tired of it slowing down an old netbook I am using.
I have come across a problem that I can't get out of, I have a reader for the DNIe that I need xubuntu to recognize and I can't find a way to achieve it. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
It is the 34 in 1 Sveon SCT012-N reader
There are drivers for windows but not for linux, although I am sure that some other manufacturer must have used the same chip and must have given support to linux, I feel absolutely stupid looking without getting anything.
I hope someone can help me. -

What version of Xubuntu are you using? It seems like a reader that's a few years old already. Check if it appears in the list when you run lsusb in the console.
