For an office use of office software (Excel) and programming, leisure for watching movies-series and also to start with video editing and a little bit of gaming.

      how about a 49-inch monitor?
It will require a good graphics card, better with DP output than HDMI 2.0?

I have seen these, with a preference for the Samsung C49RG90:

Samsung C49RG90 - Curved Gaming Monitor 49" (UltraWide DualQHD, 4 ms, 120 Hz, Freesync, QLED, VA, 32:9, 3000:1, 1800R, 600 cd/m², HDMI, Round Base) Dark Grey

      LG 49WL95C-W - 124.5 cm (49") Professional UltraWide DualQHD Monitor with IPS Panel (5120 x 1440 pixels, 32:9, 350 cd/m², sRGB >99%, 1000:1, 5 ms, 60 Hz, DPx1, HDMIx2, USB-Cx1, USB-Ax4) White Color

Philips 499P9H/00 - 49" Superwide UHD 5K Curved Monitor (5120x1440 resolution, HDR, Flicker Free, Low Blue Mode, Built-in Webcam, Speakers, HDMI, Displayport, USB)

      49-inch 32:9 Asus ROG XG49VQ Monitor: ASUS ROG Strix XG49VQ, Ultrapanoramic Gaming Monitor (3840 X 1080P, 144 Hz, Freesync 2 HDR, Displayhdr 400, Dci-P3. 90%, Shadow Boost), 49"

      Any suggestions on this.

        I read some comments:

"For your uses, both LG and Samsung are very good... Samsung is possibly better for multimedia content: movies/series, cinema,... being VA QLED

About the GPU, any, both AMD and Nvidia, will currently give you the necessary performance to move that monitor, both via HDMI 2.0 and DP1.4. It is a lower resolution than 2160p(4k). Another issue would be the 49" more gaming like the ASUS, which would require a more powerful GPU to move that refresh rate (but has lower resolution)"

        27 inch 16x9 display vs 49 inch 32x9 display

I will have to measure the table in length and width. The dimensions of the 49" monitor are impressive.

Why that size? I don't want to take that idea away from you, but I have a 32" 16:9 monitor about 1 meter from my eyes, and I have plenty of space. A 40" monitor already seems too big to me, so a 49" one is either relatively far away or you're going to be moving your neck all the time. In fact, when I watch movies, I like to sit about half a meter further away. I would also say that being so panoramic, watch out, because it's cool for working, but with certain games it's not going to give you much, and add to that the graphics monster you need to run games at that resolution. My monitor is only 1440p, so it's easier to move.

At work I have 2 25" 16:10 monitors and if you have to switch between them a lot, it's a bit of a hassle in the end. It's cool because I have more desk space than at home with the 32", but if I could choose, I would have a 32" at work.

In the end it's a matter of taste and habits, but a 49" seems excessive to me, so before buying anything, go to a shopping center, stand in front of a TV at the distance you think you would use it and see if it's comfortable or not.

That's what I did with the living room TV and the 32" monitor.
